Altered Clothes Pin

Hi Stampers,

Today I have a 3D item to share with you.  It's one I made for the craft shows this fall.  It's amazing what a little card stock can do to a clothes pin.  The back of this altered clothes pin has magnets on it so that you can hang it on the fridge.  It's really a prefect spot to stick a note.

If you're interested in getting some of these or any other craft show item I've share on my blog you can check out my next show, which is this SATURDAY, from 8:30-1 at the VFW Hall in Monmouth.

Thanks for stopping by!

Red Snowflake Rag Quilt Purse and RSVP Pens

Hi Stampers,

A special thanks goes out to all who stopped by my booth on Saturday.  I enjoyed talking with each of you. . . next chance to visit my booth is this Saturday at the VFW Hall in Monmouth.  Show is from 8:30-2pm.

Here's a picture of  my booth from the weekend. . . I LOVE the space I have a the show in Alpha. I couldn't even get my whole booth in one picture, so I have two to share with you.

You can see I made a couple of new purses for this show.  I still have the snowflake red one for sale (along with many others). . . . cost is just $25.  Each purse takes around 6 hours to make.  Here's a better picture of the red purse.

Besides many Rag Quilt Purses one of the items I'll have for sale at the craft show are Altered RSVP pens.  Making these are super simple.  Just cut a little strip of designer series paper and place it inside the RSVP tube.

Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for stopping by!

M&M Sticks

Hi Stampers and thank goodness it's Friday!!!

I'm so excited about the craft show tomorrow . . . and hope to see many of you there.  It's at the Alwood grade school and cost is $1 to get in.  The money goes to the Time for Tots preschool, who organizes this event.  This year there are over 45 vendors!!!

When you come to the show make sure to hit both the gym and the cafeteria.  As you enter the grade school the cafeteria is off to your right and the gym is straight ahead.  Last year I was in the cafeteria!!!

This week I was able to get a new project done for the craft show.  I wanted to have it done before the Oak Run show, but time just didn't let it happen. . . but somewhere between the two card clubs and Christmas Card make and take I was able to get some M&M Sticks done.

I think they turned out super cute. . . what do you think? Card Stock used was Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper White.   I also used a retired Christmas stamp set.  I've noticed that most of my craft show items used retired x-mas sets. . . sorry!  I guess I need to get some new ones for next year.

Here is a closer look at the M&M sticks!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Snowman Soup!

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share another craft show . . . Snowman Soup!  Last year Blake and I got addicted to putting candy canes and chocolate in our hot cocoa. . . it is so yummy!!!

For this project I used the Medium Cello Bags from Stampin' Up! as well as Marina Mist and Whisper White Card Stock.  The snowflake punch is also from Stampin' UP! (of course) and there is a Rhinestone in the middle of it.  I finished this project with a retired "melted" snowman stamp set and a little 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon.

You can pick up a couple of these at the craft show in Alpha on Saturday.

Thanks for stopping and Hope to see you soon!

Christmas Magnet

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you another craft show project.  It uses a little bit of card stock and a wedding favor tin and a magnet.  I have one of these on my fridge, and Blake LOVES to grab it and give it a shake.

While the stamp set is retired, there are many current Christmas sets you could use . .  I used my markers to color them out and the snowflake is a punch.  If you look in the middle of the punch you'll find a little rhinestone. :o)

Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope to see you at one of the following shows!

Reindeer Food

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you this years version of Reindeer Food I made for the craft shows.  Stampin' Up! had these cute boxes on their clearance rack, and I just new I needed to get some.  The double stitched Real Red ribbon was also another awesome find in the clearance rack!

Here's a close up of the tag.  I used the stamp Dasher and embossed with Gold Embossing powder.

The back of the tag reads:
On Christmas Eve, Sprinkle the Magic Reindeer Food on your lawn. The Magic Glitter sparkling in the moonlight and the smell of oats will guide Rudolf to your home!

Oak Run Craft Show & Callie Ann's Peas!

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to send out a special THANK YOU to all who stopped by the Oak Run craft show on Saturday. It was so nice to visit with so many friends and stampers, and also very nice to meet some new people too!  Incase you missed the show I'd like to share a couple of pictures with you.

My booth was set up so that you could walk right through the middle of it. It wasn't my idea to set it up like that, but it actually was the perfect set up for my spot.

Here is one side of my booth. . .

and the other side!

Do you like how the purses are displayed???  Rocky cranked it out last week for me.  Of course I wanted to share a closer picture with you, so my mother snapped this shot of me with Rocky's purse wrack and some of the Rag Quilt Purses I made.

I still have Rag Quilt Purses left, and lots of other goodies ready for the craft show in Alpha on Saturday.  I will be stamping this week to restock some of my top sellers.

Just a reminder Card Club is Tuesday & Wednesday nights and the Christmas Card make and take class is Thursday morning.

Oh . .  . before I go I just had to share that Callie Ann had peas for the first time this weekend.  Besides rice cereal this is her first "real" food.  Callie Ann LOVED the peas and here's a picture.

Yummy!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Craziness Continues

Hi Stampers. . .

You can bet the craziness has continued at the Caulkins house.  Yesterday I was able to get all of the tiles washed, stamped, baked and sealed. . . then I even got the felt pieces on the back and put in a box!  I was also able to check off Snowman Soup from my to do list!

This morning I've been working on the Rag Quilt Purses. . . last night Rocky cut apart all of my square . . I'm so thankful he took the time to help do that.  Also this week Rocky make me a display to hang the purses on, and while I wish he would have painted it I can't wait to try it out.

So . . . .don't forget to stop out and see me on Saturday at Oak Run.  The Craft show is in the building by the swimming area.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Craft Show Craziness!!!

OMGoodness!!!  That's what you would say if you walking into my house right now.  You see I have projects going on everywhere, plus the house work is getting put on the back burner right now.

Let me "paint" you a picture into my Fall Craft Show Craziness.  As you walk in though my front door you'll notice a table 2 feet by 4 feet parked in front of the South couch covered with frap. bottles, labels, candy and all of the paper, adhesives and punches need to complete that project.  Under that table you'll see a Target sack with trash from this and other projects that came before, which I need to take outside because today is our garbage day.

As you look onto the other couch you'll find another work in progress.  100 scallop squares waiting to be cut apart and pined so that I can finish the last 5 Rag Quilt Purses I want to make before the show on Saturday.  I was hoping Rocky would cut these apart tonight while he was watching a Hawaii 50 on tivo, but no such luck.

Walking through the maze of Callie Ann's bouncer chair, swing and exercise saucer and a few of Blake's toys towards the dinning you'll find the ironing board shoved between Blake's table and a laundry basket of blankets I just folded a few minutes ago and you'll find the dinning room table. . . although you can't actually see the table you'll know it's there because I really can't pile things up that high. :o)

The dinning room has been transformed into my sewing room, so that I can be closer to the family as I work.  Beside the sewing machine, you'll find a cutting board, cutting ruler as well as a couple of rotary blades, fabric, batting and a Big Shot.  I'm sure everyone keeps the Big Shot on a chair in their dinning room . . .right?  That's where mine is. :o)  Also on the table you'll see 6 purses waiting for buttons and their flowers to be attached as well as a huge catchall pile for everything else that comes into the house.  In front of the China hutch you'll find Stampin' Up! boxes all packed and ready to go to the show on Saturday.

Walking through the kitchen, with the sinks overflowing with clean dishes (I just finished those at midnight) you'll find the bathroom, where 59 tiles waiting to be washed so they can be stamped on to make coasters.  As you're in the bathroom you'll hear the dryer running in the basement as Blake was out of socks and he needs a pair for school in the morning then you finally get to my "actual" stamp room.

Ideally this is where everything for all of my projects would be stored, but that's simply not the case as you can tell from the paragraphs above. :o) On the desk you will find another project . . . a shoe box full of cello bags stuffed with Snowman Soup.  I just need to make the topper and they can be put in the box in the dinning room.  You'll also find some fabric Build-a-bears iron-ons and a couple more things I'd like to do, but I'm thinking not everything is going to get done.  What do you think??

There you have it . . . a look into my craziness.  Right now I think it's bedtime. . . after all it is 1:15am and Callie Ann often is up at 4am to eat and Blake's up anywhere between 6:30 and 8am to start his day.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Wednesday!!

Craft Show Calendar

Hi Stampers,

Today I am very excited to share with you today a calendar that I have made for Saturday's craft show.

For this project I used a 4" coaster and covered it with Designer Series Paper.  I used the sanding sponge around the edges to give it a "rougher" look.  I finished it by adding a matching jumbo binder clip to hold the calendar.  This way it can be placed on a desk or couner top!

You can find the Chocolate Chip 1 Inch Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in the Clearance Rack of my online store. .  it's only $2.99 and you get 10 yards!!!  To shop my online store just click the Clearance Rack link above and you'll safely travel through cyber space.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tic Tac Toe

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a project I made for the Fall craft shows. . . its Travel Tic Tac Toe!!!  For the outside of the tin I used my Big Shot, Dies and Snowflake Punch.  Colors used are Real Red, Old Olive and Whisper White.

On the inside you'll find the Tic Tac Toe board as well as the "markers", which are attached to a magnet so the kids can play in the car.

The stamp set is a retired one I just couldn't part with, but colors used are current: Real Red, Old Olive and Pacific Point.

Let me know if you have any questions and THANKS for stopping by!

Build-a-Bear Tins

Hi Stampers,

So the past couple of weeks I have been working on projects for the Fall Craft Shows.  Last night I got around to my Build-a-bear tins that have been on my list to make.  This is my version of "paper dolls" and would be great to take with an play in the car.  While I'm not 100% done with this project I'd like to share what I have with you.

The picture above is the outside of the tin with the Christmas outfit on.  The picture below shows some of the outfits I have done for the tin.  I'm thinking she needs a purse and shoes!!!

Let me know if you have any questions, and Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!
