Blake's Birthday & Promotion #1

Hi Stampers,

Happy Birthday to my sweet little Blake . . . . I can't believe he's 4 already!!!

Yesterday was Blake's friend birthday party . . . it was lots of fun. . . . Blake said it was the best birthday ever!  So, today I'd like to share a few pictures from that special day.  First I'd like to share with you pictures of the plates and napkins I, of course, had to stamp for the special occasion.

I used Stazon Ink and the same retired stamp, Ahoy Matey, plus I grabbed a balloon from another stamp set. :o)

Beside the plates and napkins I stamped the envelopes for the scavenger hunt and the bags for the kids to used as they picked up candy from the pinata.

Like I said before Blake had a pirate birthday party and we got a cute cupcake birthday cake.  You can tell he was having a GREAT time!

Once the party was over we had "treat bags" for Blake to give his friends.  I had to stamp cute little pirate tags to tie one.

Now that you've seen some of the goodies I had a chance to make for the party I'd like to share with you the first daily special for the "Blake's Birthday Promotion". . . make sure to check out my blog each day now though Friday for a special that will run each day.  To take advantage of the special of the day you need to call or e-mail me prior to midnight. (If you are planning on calling, please don't call after 9pm. :o). . . but you can e-mail me up until midnight.)

You can bet I haven't had much time to stamp with getting ready for the birthday parties, so today I'd like to share with you another sample from the StampAttic's meeting.

This card uses the stamp set, Fox and Friends, which can be found until April 30th in the occasions mini catalog.

BTW - TOMORROW is Blake's actual birthday, and it also starts the daily birthday promotions, so make sure to check out my blog each day!

Something Sweet!

Hi Stampers,

It's almost birthday time. . . . Blake turns 4 on Sunday and we have a weekend full of activities planned for him.  Yesterday at preschool Blake was king for a day and got to bring ice cream bars.  Today I'm off work and we are cleaning and getting ready for the birthday parties. . . . Saturday is the friends party and Sunday is the family party.  He is going to be so tired come Monday!  Here's a picture of the birthday boy I took at Preschool yesterday!

Just a reminder to make sure you keep checking out my blog. . . the Blake Birthday Celebration starts on Sunday and there will be a different sale each day!!!

Since Blake's birthday is just around the corner I'd like to share with you a birthday card.  I took a picture of this card at the last StampAttic's meeting. . . I think it was one that Nikki made, but I'm not 100% sure.

This card was made using the Something Sweet stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Remember the Occasions Mini Catalog is only here until April 30th!!!

Happy Stamping!

Clear-Mount Blocks Organization!

Hi Stampers,

Recently I was asked how I stored my Stampin' Up! Clear-Mount Blocks.  Well to be truthful I had most of them in a cute little Longaberger basket under my stamping desk, and when I needed them for a workshop I used a smaller sized empty box that our stamps come in to transport my blocks.  I got thinking it would be nice to have a larger box I can keep them in all of the time.  So that's just what I did.

I found out that I can order Jumbo Stamp and Supply Boxes from Stampin' Up!  They come in a pack of 4 and are $7.25.  I only needed two of the boxes to fit all 9 blocks in.

If you are interested in getting some boxes to store your Clear-Mount Blocks send an e-mail to me at georgia@mustainlaw.com and I can "hook" you up!

Oh . . . before I go today I wanted tell you a little more about the new Color Renovation.

Stampin' Up! is saying farewell to a bunch of the color in our four main color families as well as some In Colors.  However, they are making room for New Colors as well as bringing back some past In Colors for a total of 4 new color families with 10 in each family. . . this is a total of 40 colors!

When the new color catalog comes out they will also have 5 In Colors. . . . want to hear some AWESOME news about the new 5 In Colors???  They will be here for 2 years!!!  So when the next catalog comes out in 2011 they will still release 5 new In Colors so we'll have a total of 50 colors to work with come 2011!!!  Isn't that GREAT!!!

On the right side of my blog I have added two pictures with links.  The first one is the Fond Farewell chart, which will show you what colors from the 4 main color families and neutrals are going to be gone.  When you are looking through the catalog you can bet any accessory that has one of these colors in it will be retiring soon and once the accessory retirement list is announce it does not take long for these items to sell out!  I would suggest that you order those items before the end of May so that you are not disappointed that they are gone.

(BTW- I am in the process of making a list of items I have that will be for sale once they retire on June 30th.  As soon as that's done I will e-mail it out so that you can reserve some items should you so choose.  This list will include ink pads, ink refills, hostess stamp sets, sale-a-bration stamp sets, and might even include some accessories in the retiring colors.  All items will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.  It is strictly against Stampin' Up! policy to sell current items before they retire, so on July 1st I will be able to release those items to you.)

Send me an e-mail at georgia@mustainlaw.com to be added to my e-mail list.

The second picture and link will show you the new Color Collections.  Please take a minute to check them out and let me know if you have any questions.

As always if you have questions, please ask!

Thanks for stopping by!

UPS Man!

Hi Stampers,

If you have ever ordered anything online that was to come via UPS I'm sure you will appreciate what I have to share with you today.  ALL of my Stampin' Up! orders come UPS and I love to see Mr. Brown or even Ms. Brown come down Jefferson Street.

First let me share with you a picture of one of my UPS guys. . . I don't know his name, but I LOVE when he comes to visit!  I know I have shared this picture before, but here I think he is so happy that I am so happy he came.  Well I was very happy he came, because he was bringing me the new catalog.  BTW this picture was taken last summer.  I wanted to make sure I shared that with you as I didn't want you thinking I had the new 2010 catalog yet. :o)

And today I'd like to share with you a project my upline, Kathy, made.  Kathy cased this of the internet somewhere, and I'm sorry I don't have a clue who came up with the cute idea.

For this project Kathy used all kinds of Stampin' Up! punches to create the UPS man.  Great Job Kathy!  I can't wait to make one myself.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a GREAT day!

Baby Bib and May 1st Make and Take Information!

Hi Stampers,

I have a couple of things to share with you today . . . the first thing is a picture of my husband, Rocky, and Larry.  Rocky and 5 other members of our local Harley-Davidson group went to Milwaukee for the weekend for Harley Officer Training. . . while at the convention center they happened upon a sign for the Stampin' Up! Regional. . . how crazy is that!  To bad I wasn't able to attend Regional this year. . it would have been great to ride up and room with Rocky.

BTW - My husband, Rocky is on the Right. :o)

The next thing I would like to share with you is about my May 1st Make and Take Class at The Well in Monmouth.  I am pleased to announce that I will be offering two make and takes options that day.

Option 1: Rag Quilt Purse ~ Saturday, May 1st 10am!

Cost is $15 and you will be making a Rag Quilt Purse as shown above. I will provide instructions for you to use and take home, batting for your purse, as well as hand on help!

Do to some recent experience I am asking that you have your own sewing machine and you need to know how to thread your machine and fill your bobbin as needed.

You will need to bring with you 1 yard of fabric and a button. If you’d like your Rag Quilt Purse to be 2 designs (like the picture above) just bring ½ yard of each design. Also if you’d like your straps to be a different color a 1/4 yard will be plenty of fabric for that.

Option 2: 8 cards and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages ~ Saturday, May 1st 10:30am

Cost for this make and take is $20 and you will be stamping 8 cards and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages.  We will be using a couple of items from the new Summer Mini Catalog, which goes "live" May 1st.

Please RSVP for either make and take by April 29th so that I have time to prep!  georgia@mustainlaw.com 343-9356 or log into Facebook then click HERE.

OK . . now it's onto Stamping Time!!!

Today I'd like to share with you a card that club members are making. . .

It's a baby bib!  Isn't it so cute!

For this project I used my Big Shot and Scallop Circle Bigz Die to cut out the base of my bib.  Then using the Circle Cutter I cut out the white for the bib and ran it though the big shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The 1/2 oval was punched using the Wide Oval Punch.

Of course I just needed to use the Fox and Friends Clear-Mount Stamp set and the Little Angel Clear-Mount stamp set.

Well I think that's about it for the day . . . if you have any questions, please ask!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Vintage Vogue

Hi Stampers & Happy Monday!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. . . . the weather was perfect and I spent a lot of time outside.  Yesterday I spent around 4 hours scrapping and painting.  I put a fresh coat of paint on my front door and painted the front around the front windows as well as the front caps on the steps.  I am really glad to have this project done . . . now I just need to finish putting a fresh coat of paint on the porch and around every window on our house!  Since I'm 33 weeks prego I don't think that will get done before the baby comes. . . unless I can sweet talk Rocky into doing the project for me.  With the baby coming his honey do list is way to long to ask him to do more, so I'm thinking it can wait. :o)

I also got in a little bit of stamping time last night after Blake went to bed and I worked on cutting card stock for card clubs, which meet  THIS WEEK.

Today I'd like to share with you a card club members are going to stamp.  Basically I knew I wanted to use Vintage Vogue from the mini catalog, so instead of coming up with an idea on my own I cased the mini catalog. :o)

I changed the colors as I want to start using more of my supplies that are going to retire soon.  Card Stock is Apricot Appeal and Whisper White.  Ink is: Apricot Appeal, Cameo Coral and Certainly Celery.  If you look close in the middle of the flower you will see Micro Beads, which have been stuck in place with a Mini Glue Dot and the flower is stuck on with a Stampin' Dimensionals.

If you have any questions for me, please ask!

Have a GREAT day!

Birthday Bliss

Hi Stampers,

Yesterday I told you about the Color Renovation, and today I'd like to share the new Color Collections with you!  (You should be able to click on the chart below to make it bigger.)

At Stampin’ Up!®, color is part of our identity. It’s fundamental to your ability to create and be creative. That also means that it’s important for you to be able to stay up-to-date with the trends in color to keep both your artwork and your business fresh and exciting.

That’s why we’ve worked to present you with the Color Renovation—a refreshing, updated color palette!

The new color collections combine current colors with previous In Colors, and five new colors. These luscious collections give you new and vibrant choices, keeping your papercrafting passion original and exciting. Mix and match for your favorite combinations, and make the Color Renovation work for you!

Since we've been talking a lot about the new colors I wanted to share a card sample with you using a color that is not going to be around after June 30th. . . Dusty Durango. . . but first let me share with you the card I cased, which used Bermuda Bay . . . another color that will be gone after June 30th.

Last month I attended a basket swap with many other Stampin' Up! demonstrators, and this first card below  in Bermuda Bay was one of the cards I got to stamp!  The stamp set used is Birthday Bliss (115442 $15.95).

I only changed the card a little bit to make it work with the supplies I had on hand. . . . the card shown below is a 4x4 card, and one of the cards club members get to stamp next week!

Color Renovation!!!

Hi Stampers,

I am very pleased to announce to you Stampin' Up!'s plan to renovate their colors starting with the new catalog released in July 2010. While it will be sad to see some of the colors go it is very exciting to see some of the "old" in colors come back. :o)

Shelli Gardner (CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up!) says it best when she says, "We have done extensive (and I mean extensive) research to identify the best colors to include in our new collections. We have anguished over some decisions; we know that you have favorite colors, and some of them will no longer be available. I'm the first to admit that I cried a few alligator tears when I saw some of the colors that we being retired.

But I'm just as enthusiastic about some of the new colors, and I think the new collections are fresh and appealing. And the research, thought, and planning that have gone into this renovation mean that we won't be doing a color renovation this extensive again in for a long time!

This renovation is one that will definitely be worthwhile!"

Are you ready to see the change???
