Blake's Birthday

As you can guess from my lack of blogging I have been VERY busy!!!  Today I'd like to share with you a few pictures from Blake's birthday.  My little guy turned 5 and we celebrated ALL weekend.  Saturday was the friend party, Sunday was the family party and Monday was his actual birthday, so we took him and a couple of buds to Fun City in Burlington, IA.

The birthday party was a Camping Theme, so I had to make a Camp Caulkins sign for the front door.

What's camping without S'mores?

Of course, I had to use my Big Shot to make a Happy Birthday Blake banner. . . it was very long!!!

And we all needed party hats!  I couldn't find any so I made my own using the Under the Stars stamp set. . . here's my little Callie Ann ready to party!!!

And since I have been taking cake classes I HAD to make the cake, and I had so much fun doing it!

I also made chocolate cupcake with  sticks "ready" to roast!

The kids needed something to drink, so with my big shot I cranked out Bug Juice labels.  I even asked my friend Kristal to take my picture, as I'm always the women behind the camera!  :o)

We had 14 kids at the house and 3 babies under the age of 10 months.  Needless to say it was VERY loud at the party! :o)

Sunday was the family party and we had a quick family picture snapped before the fun began. (Callie Ann didn't want to wear her party hat!)

I had to make another cake for Sunday's party, but didn't mind.  This time I decided to to a lake instead of a stream . . and added a Gator, which Grandpa George got Blake a real one to ride on. :o)

Then Monday was his actual birthday . . here is a picture of Blake with two of his best buddies, Tyler & Gabe. . . . they were ready to go swimming!

I was getting caked out, so I opted for cookies.  The boys loved the fact they had a 5 on them and they were all 5 years old!

Thanks for taking time to share in my world!

Happy Stamping!

Totally Tool!

Hi Stampers,

It's time for a "MAN CARD". . . using the stamp set, Totally Tool I "built" a card fit for a man. . . . I even have a man in mind for this card if my hubby ever gets the DIY bathroom remodel project done. :o)

As you can guess this hammer and screwdriver were cut out, not with a saw, but with scissors. LOL

Just a reminder that TOMORROW is the last day to order and receive FREE Sale-a-bration products.  Let me know if you have questions or need help shopping at http://www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net/.

Priceless

Hi Stampers,

Just a reminder there are only THREE days left of Sale-a-bration. . make sure to get those orders in now to earn FREE products!  http://www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net/

Today's card sample uses the stamp set, Priceless. . . it's been here for sometime, but I just got it a few months ago!  As I've mention before I'm on a PINK kick. . . that must be what happens when you have a little girl in your life. :o)

For this card I used a sponge to go around the edges before I attached it to the base.  The butterflies are also punched out and attached to pop them up!

I have more to share with you today . . . while I don't have a picture of the cake I made at class last night (yet) I do have pictures of the cupcakes I decorated last week.

As you can see they had a TON of frosting on them and they were a GREAT sugar high and a must to send with Rocky to Daves Autobody! :o)

Callie Ann's Notebook

Hi Stampers and HAPPY MONDAY!!!

I really hope it's going to be a GREAT week. . . Spring is here, so lets bring on the warm weather!!!

As I mention yesterday I made a notebook for Callie Ann. . . I wanted a place to write down her birthday gifts each year, so she can always look back and see what she got when she gets older.  For her book I just knew I wanted to use the Big Shot and Build-a-bear line.

Isn't it cute!  I so wish I would have made a book for Blake for his birthdays. . . I'll have to look for the lists and maybe I can "recreate" one.

Cake Notebook

Hi Stampers,

Yesterday I mention that I was taking a cake decorating class in Monmouth . . . before classes started I had to decorate a notebook so I would have a place to take notes. :o)

Of course I picked pink, which is quickly becoming my favorite color since Callie Ann joined our family. :o)

The cupcake was done with the big shot, and the "lace" was done using the eyelet border punch.  I had to use some retired ribbon, because I just LOVED the Mellon Mambo polk-a-dot ribbon!  I so wish SU would bring that back.

Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for stopping by!

Punch Bunch . . . card #3!

Hi Stampers!

WOW 3 days in a row . . . I'm on a roll! :o)

Well a lot has been going on in my life since I was able to blog on a regular time frame. . . Blake will be 5 next month, so I've been very busy working on party invites as well as party plans.  He also started Karate this past month and is continued to go to Knoxville to Awana Cubbies (youth group @ church).  Spring soccer starts next month and t-ball the month after that.  He is so busy, but LOVES it all!

Callie Ann is growing GREAT and is already 9 months old.  I have been thinking about her birthday party too, but I have to get Blake's done before I can do that.  Callie Ann is active like Blake, but we keep her on the sidelines. :o)

I have been taking a cake decorating class over in Monmouth and I'm very excited to make their birthday cakes this year!!!  And Rocky took on a bathroom remodel job, and it's going well. . . I'm hoping its will be done before card club in April, but I'm not holding my breath to hard. :o)

Well enough about the family . . it's sample time.  Today we are using the Punch Bunch again, because Sale-a-bration is almost over. :o(

This was a fun (and easy) card to make as all you need to do is color the stamp with markers and stamp.  Then use the scallop punches then assemble the layers except the Tempting Turquiose!  After your layers are assembled you run them through the Big Shot in the embossing folder.  Then add your ribbon and layer onto the card!

Wasn't that simple?

Thanks for stopping by today . . it's a busy day for me as I'm doing my 1st birthday cake today for Rocky's Grandpa . . . wish me luck!

Punch Bunch

Hi Stampers and TGIF!!!

Today I'd like to share with you another card using the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Punch Bunch.  This time we are using the owl stamp from the set and the matching owl punch!  Yes I said PUNCH!  You will NEVER have to cut out this little owl . . . isn't that exciting!!!

I love the simple cards with one or no layers. . . here the middle owl was stamped and punch out then attached to the card.  After I made this card I thought I should have colored the ick in S{ick}? with yellow to match the owls.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow for another Punch Bunch sample!

More Valentine's

Hi Stampers,

Thanks for stopping by today. . . I'd like to share with you the Valentine's cards I made for Blake and Callie Ann.

Keeping with Blake's "alien theme" I used the Greeting Earthlings stamp set.

And for Callie Ann's card I wanted it a little more girlish.

I even added a few pearls on the heart.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Blake's Valentine and Valentine's Day Box!

Hi Stampers and Happy Valentine's day!

Today I'd like to share with you Blake's Valentine's Day Cards and the box we made for his party at preschool.  Unfortunately, Blake is home sick today and can't go to his party.  But the good news is Blake took his box to school on Friday so his friends can put cards into it.

For his box we used the Big Shot and Build-a-bear die as well letters for Blake's name. The Heart Punch was used with the same glitter paper we used on Callie Ann's Valentine's.  Oh we also use the motorcross stamp to make it a little more boyish!

For Blake's cards we used the same heart punch and glitter paper. . . here is a closeup of the heart. See the glitter?

Blake's Valentine's were very easy to make as I used the same layout as this card.  The stamp set is Greeting's Earthlings and the plastic hearts are from SU too!

We used two of the aliens and boy were they fun to cut out. :o)

So that the kids didn't have to rip the card apart to get the M&Ms out I made a little "window" in the back so they could just pull the paper and get the candy.

Let me know if you have any questions and THANKS for stopping by today!

Callie Ann's Valentine Cards

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you the Valentine cards I made for Callie Ann's Valentine party at daycare.  But before I do that I'd like to share a picture of my sweet Callie Ann.  When Blake was a baby he loved to play in the Stampin' Up! boxes, so I thought it was about time Callie Ann tested them out. . . well it lasted a short time, and then she crawled out. :o)

For Callie Ann's the cards I decided to use the Build-a-bear stamp set, and I had to use pink, so I went with Melon Mambo!

Making the glitter hearts was a piece of cake, because all I did was use a punch to cut out hearts from the Glimmer Paper, which you can find in the mini catalog.  This is the BEST way to add red glitter to your projects without the clean-up!  Cover-weight paper covered in glitter that will not brush off or create a mess.  You get two 12x12 sheets for $3.95.

Now that Callie Ann's are done it's time to get started on Blake's Valentines.

Thanks for stopping by!

break time

Hi Stampers,

I'm so very sad to be writing this post. . . if you've followed my blog I'm sure you've noticed the lack of posts.  Ever since I had my second child I have found it very hard to pull myself away and get to the stamp room.  Since I'm not stamping very much I have not had much to share on my blog.  This has really stressed me out and even made me sad.

I've decided to step back from blogging on a regular schedule.  I still hope to blog now and then and I'm sure once Callie Ann gets a little older (and stops nursing) I won't be as tied down.

Please note I am still an active Stampin' Up! demo and I am still having clubs and workshops.  I hope to add make and takes classes into my lineup soon.

As I do still want to share with you via blogging I would like to invite you to become a fan of my facebook page.  When I do post on my blog I'll send a message though facebook so you can check it out.

Thanks for your support!

Greetings, Earthling!

Hi Stampers,

I actually got into my stamp room yesterday!!!  This was the first time (in a long time) I walked through those doors.  Life is moving so fast right now, and I'm trying to spend as much as I can with my family.  While Blake had a friend over to play I thought I would try out the new stamp set I purchase called Greetings, Earthlings!

If you've ever had one of those days when you just feel like you're from a different planet, you'll definitely appreciate this light-hearted set to help you tell your kids, "I come in peace." Five fun alien images, an intergalactic greeting, and a swirl accent complete this spaced out set that's great for children of all ages.

I picked out this stamp set thinking it would make cute Valentines, but the card I made yesterday was just for fun.

Here's the inside. . . I'm not sure who I'll send this card too, but I have it ready to go out!

Oh . . . before I go I wanted to share with you a picture of the reason I'm not stamping much right now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Inside View of SU!

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you some pictures from Stampin' Up!'s Facebook page.

"With the amount of products flying off the shelves during Sale-A-Bration, we thought you might like an inside view of what happens on our end when you place an order.

After we get your order, the proper box is selected and a unique bar code is placed in the corner. That bar code tells the box where to go as it travels through the Distribution Center.

Your box’s first stop is along the Pick Line. Based on the information on your bar code, lights on the shelves tell pickers which and how many items go in each box.

After your box is loaded, weighed, and inspected for quality, it travels uphill to the packing area. The shipping label is applied, filler is added to keep things from moving around during shipping, and a fancy tape machine seals everything up.

After everything is labeled and sealed, your box travels back downstairs where it's loaded onto one of those beautiful brown trucks for delivery right to you!"

When I went to convention I was able to tour the facility. If you ever get to Riverton, Utah you'll want to stop by and check it out.  I'm not sure how much they'll show you, but they do have some they share.

Thanks for stopping by!

Walt Disney World

Hi Stampers,

Well I am very happy to report we had an AWESOME time in Florida at Disney World. The kids were great and we had a fun time.  Blake and I came down with the flu the night before our flight home and it was a very bad night.  I don't think anyone but Callie Ann got much sleep that night.

I took a ton of pictures. . . . I'd hate to see how many there was before I went through and deleted a bunch of them.  I like to use my rapid shoot to get pictures, so where some people might just take one or two pictures I take 10 or 20 of them. :o)

Today I'd like to share a few of the pictures from our trip.  I wish I would have had time to use My Digital Studio to make some pages, but I ran out of time.

Epcot was the first park we went to. . . they say this "ball" is the most photographed item on Earth.

Callie Ann slept a lot while we were there, but we still got her photo with some of the characters. . . . below you'll find her with Minnie Mouse.

And while she was awake I got her picture taken with Tinkerbell.  I just wished she wouldn't have had a blow out in the cute outfit she started the day in.  Tinkerbell and her friends had fun talking about Callie Ann's "ladybug spots".

Blake was excited to get his picture taken with McQueen and Mater. . . Callie Ann was sleeping so she didn't get to be in the photo.

Since we had a Disney Visa credit card we got a private photo shoot with Goofy and Minnie Mouse. . . it was lots of fun!

Here's Blake at the Magic Kingdom . . . We visited this park a few days, but the first day we were there we spent 10 hours at the park. . . we were all having so much fun we didn't want to leave.

And here are the kids in their mouse ears. . . it's a must when you go to Disney.  We even purchased mouse ears for my niece and nephew. . . $70 later they all four had mouse ears with their names on the back of them.

Valentine's Day Card

Hi Stampers,

Today's a quick post as I've scheduled it to post before I left for Florida. I'm so tired I don't even have time to talk about it, I just need to get up to bed before I have to get up to catch my flight to Florida.

Here I'm using it as a Valentine's but by changing the phrase it could very easy be a baby or a birthday card.

Thanks for checking out my card today!

Bring on the Cake

Hi Stampers,

Happy Friday!!!  This week has been a crazy week as we prepare to leave on a family vacation and get the house ready for the house/dog sitters to come and stay.  We are leaving tomorrow AM for Disney World and are so very excited.  The last two nights has been really hard getting Blake to go to bed as he's ready for the magic to start.

I hope to have time to set up some post to post while I'm gone, so keep checking back and I hope they'll post as planned.  Also remember you can shop 24/7 while I'm gone at www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net.  I'm not sure how much (or any) Internet access I'll have while we are gone, so if you e-mail me I'll get back to you when we get home.

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using the new stamp set, Bring on the Cake, from the Occasions Mini Catalog, which started January 4th.

I just love the colors together. . . I think it makes for a happy birthday card. :o)  This is one of the card we will be making at card club, and I have one spot open in each of my clubs, so if you'd like to join us we'd love to have you.

Rocky's Birthday Card

Hi Stampers,

Today is Rocky's birthday and yesterday Blake and I made him a card.  We used the stamp, On the Green and the NEW stamp set, Bing on the Cake, which is in the Occasions Mini Catalog.

We used markers to color the "golf" stamp and the Birthday was colored using the VersaMarker. Since Blake was helping too we decided to keep the card simple.

Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by today!
