January 3rd Last Day to Order Holiday Mini Merchandise

Hi Stampers,

As you might have guessed things have been crazy busy with the holiday season. . . I have been using all of my time on my family, and it's sad to report I haven't even been in my stamp room to stamp since card club. :o(

While I have hopes of getting there soon I did want to let you know of a deadline that's upcoming.

January 3, 2011, is the last day to order merchandise from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Pun Fun

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a simple card we made at card club.  It uses the stamp set, Pun Fun.

This card was very simple to make.  The one thing you have to remember is to crimp your card stock before you fold it in half.  When you use the crimper it "shrinks" the card stock.

As I set here and look at it I think it needs some Whisper White ribbon along the top of the gray card stock. What do you think?

Update

Hi Stampers,

Like many of you I have been very busy the past few weeks in preparation for the up coming holiday season. . . . for some reason the stamp room has been the place to store Christmas presents that needs to be wrapped!  With two little ones at home I'm sure you can guess I'm having trouble wadding through the presents to get to my stamp table. I hope to get there soon, but I'm not sure when.

Dasher & Lovely as a Tree

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a card I revised.  You can see the original card HERE.  All I did to revise the card was to add a layer of card stock to the back.

I really like the Dasher stamp and it is embossed on this card.  I used the stamping off technique on the trees.

Halloween Cards

Hi Stampers,

I know it's Christmas time, but I couldn't wait until next year to share a couple of Halloween cards I made for my niece and nephew this year.  For these card I used the stamp set, Season of Hugs, from the Holiday Mini Catalog and the Beary Best Friends stamp set.

Definitely Decorative

Hi Stampers,

Have you had a chance to check out Stampin' Up!'s line Definitely Decorative products?  They are "rub-ons" for your walls!!!

When you visit my house you'll find many of them throughout my home (click here for samples) . . . . One is in our master bedroom along with our wedding picture.

It reads, "Happily ever After. . . . all because two people fell in love."  It's a great reminder as it's one of the first things I see when I wake up and one of the last when I go to bed.

Upsy Daisy

Hi Stampers and Happy Friday!!!

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using the Upsy Daisy stamp set.  I just love this set and I love to use the sponge daubers to add an extra ink color to the image.

For this card I used Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo  . . .  of course I needed a little Whisper White card stock too.

If you look close you can see some Rich Razzleberry (aka purple) ink on the top edge of a few of the flowers.

Lovely as a Tree

Hi Stampers,

Just a reminder that the final Wednesday card club is TONIGHT, and Tuesday's club is next week. :o) 

Today I'd like to share with you one of the one layer cards you will be stamping at club this month.  Often I like to try to make simple one layer cards to show that you don't need to have everything in the catalog to create cards.

For this card I used the Whisper White ink pad.  As soon as I stamped the trees I sprinkled the wet ink with Dazzling Diamonds.  You can even see the trees sparkle in the picture.

The phrase is from the Full of Life stamp set and it was stamped in Whisper White after the Dazzling Diamonds were applied so that it didn't sparkle.

Build-a-Bear Iron-Ons

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you one of the items I had for sale at the craft show this Fall.  Using my Build-a-bear dies I made some Build-a-bear iron-ons.  They are all ready to iron onto to whatever you'd like!

Julia's Christmas Card

Hi Stampers . . .

It's FRIDAY!!!  Just a reminder to stop by the craft show in Alexis tomorrow. It's at the community center and there will be sign out in town.  It runs from 9am-3pm, but I'll be gone for a short time . . . I'm thinking around 12:30ish to 1:30ish.  My children will be visiting Santa in Woodhull, and I don't want to miss it.  My mother will be watching my booth while I'm gone.  (Thanks Mom!)

I would like to invite you to join card club . . . new clubs start in January and will run from January-June (6 months). Each club has only 6 members. Club members agree to purchase a minimum of $25 per month, January 2011 to June 2011. Each month you are able to attend you’ll make 5 cards at no additional expense. Currently you can register to join the 2nd Tuesday or 2nd Thursday of the month clubs.  Space is very limited, so RSVP today!

Clubs meet at my home in Galesburg starting at 6:30 PM.
