Big Shot - Card

Hi Stampers,

Today I want to share a card with you that I cased from Patsy Waggoner. I just changed it a little bit, so it worked for me.

The first thing I did was cut my Kiwi Kiss card stock at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for the base of my card. Then I cut a piece of Regal Rose 4" x 5 1/4" and ran it through my Big Shot using the Exclusive Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 (114512 $11.95) Texturz Plates. Remember when you use the texturz plates you'll also need the Impressions Pad and Silicone Rubber.

The DSP is from the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper (DSP) and measures 1 1/2" x 4". I use my Wide Oval Punch to cut out a oval from Rose Red Card Stock. Then using Kiwi Kiss Card Stock I used the Sweetest Stem Embosslit Die. The Embosslits dies measure 2 1/4" x 2 1/2". These chemically etched dies include a positive and negative image that allows simultaneous cutting and embossing. Embosslits can cut though card stock and designer series paper.

The Regal Rose flower was punch using the Boho Blossoms Punch and I used a Gold Brad to hold it in place.

This card was very quick and easy and it was also the make and take card from Tianna's workshop this past weekend.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you have questions, please ask!

GlitterBees Swaps

Hi Stampers!

As promised I'd like to share Britni's and Twila's swap cards with you. Both of these cards feature new stamp sets from the Occasions Mini Catalog that starts April 1st.

This first card uses the stamp set Scene in a Garden (113246 $21.95). The soft line-art look for these images makes them perfect for watercoloring with a Blender Pen or Aqua Painter.

Twila's card uses the new stamp set Oval All (113790 $16.95) and the new Scallop Oval Punch (114889 $15.95). You can use the Oval All set with the Scallop Oval and Large Oval punches. Using these punches together allows you to create layered images in seconds.

And my swap card also used the Oval All stamp set. Click HERE for all of the details on my swap card.

Thanks for stopping by today, and remember you have until Tuesday to purchase the starter kit at the 15% off price of only $169.00. Click HERE for more details!

Have a GREAT Monday!

Big Shot - Bag

Hello Stampers!

As I mention yesterday I had a meeting with 2 of my downline members on Friday night. Britni and Twila came over to talk a little business and of course to have a little make and take project. Of course, I had to play to, and this is what I made.

Using my big shot and some felt I decorated a little bag to give my niece Makenna. Makenna is 2 1/2 and I'm sure she'll love the butterfly. The dies used are: Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Scallop Circle Die and Serif Essentials Alphabet.

For added bling I use a couple of half pearls from the Pretties Kit and some Dazzling Diamonds.

Thanks for stopping by, and make sure to check back tomorrow, because I'll have Twila's and Britni's swap cards to share with you.

Have a GREAT Sunday!

Occasions Mini Catalog

Hello Stampers!

By now I hope you have received the Occasions Mini Catalog I sent you in the mail. If you have not received one, let me know and I'll stick one in the mail for you! This mini catalog starts on April 1st and runs until June 30th. However, SU does have a sneak peak going right now where you can preorder a few of the Easter stamp stamps. . . click HERE for those details.

Today I want to share a card with you using the new stamp set Oval All and the NEW Scallop Oval Punch. . . yes that's right a new punch! I just love how you can use it with the other oval punches by layering them.

Above you can see I used the Scallop Oval Punch and Kiwi Kiss Card Stock. I stamped Best Wishes from the Oval All Stamp Set in Basic Black ink on Rose Red Card Stock and then used my Large Oval Punch to punch it out.

And Here's the whole card!

What do you think?

I used the Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper for bottom of the card and for the Butterfly. I'm sure from prior post you can guess the butterfly was made using my Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. The ribbon is Whisper White Ribbon Organza and I used half pearls from the pretties kit.

This was a very fun card to make. . . let me know if you have any questions . . . and thank you for stopping by today. I truly appreciate you stopping by!

Card Clubs are forming NOW!!!

Are you ready to have some fun? In our ever stressful lives it's nice to know that at least once a month you're able to kick back and stamp with some ladies!!! The next round of card clubs are forming now and will start in May! I hope you are able to join me.

Currently I plan on offering clubs on the:
3rd Tuesday
3rd Wednesday

All clubs will be at my home in Galesburg and will run from 6:30pm - 8pm.

As with the current sessions these clubs will run for 10 months, so that everyone has a turn to be hostess. Each month you'll stamp 5 cards. The only cost you will have is to order $15 in merchandise each month, and one month you'll supply refreshments. At the end of the club you will have made 50 cards. . if you think the average card you purchase at the store is $3-4 you'll be saving yourself at least $150.00.

If you have any questions, or to sign up, please call or e-mail me.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Manhattan Flower Textured Die - Again

Hello Ladies!

I just can't get enough of SU's new Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die that you use with the Big Shot. Click HERE to see a video on how to use this AWESOME die. I'm sure you can guess that you'll be seeing a lot of samples made with this die.

So . . . today I'd like to show you one of the make and take projects the ladies got to make at Dana's workshop on Sunday using this die. This card was very simple to do.

First I took a piece of Whisper White Card Stock (4" x 5 1/4") and using the impression die ran it through my Big Shot. Then using the Level 1 stamp set, Sweet Litte Sentiments, I stamped the phrase in Riding Hood Red ink. Next I used a sponge dauber and applied the same ink color directly to the embossed area to make the flowers pop out. Last I attached the "card front" to Riding Hood Red Card Stock(4 1/4 x 11") and it was done!

What do you think? Like I said this card was simple, but fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamper Brag**

Hello Stampers!

I am so super proud of my stamper and friend Cindy. Remember that Cindy is the gal who came to my house a few weeks ago to stamp 96 grad cards. . . click HERE to see that post.

Yesterday Cindy came to my birthday card make and take class and brought one of the completed cards (shown above) with her, and a bunch of cards that she made on her own. I am so proud of Cindy that I asked her if it was OK to share her cards on my blog, and she said yes!

So the samples today were made by Cindy using the stamp set Great Grads (114976 $24.95).
GREAT JOB CINDY!!! The next thing your cards need is a Hand Stamped by Cindy stamp on the back and I bet I know where you can order one. :o)

Thanks for dropping by today . . . hope your day is GREAT!

Manhattan Flower Embossing Video**

Hello Stampers!!!

I love how Stampin' Up! rewards it's demonstrators. Last month I promoted to Sr. Supervisor, and with that promotion came a $100 shopping spree . . . AND because SU was also running a promotion special I got an additional $50 to spend. Would you like to see what I got for FREE?

I've been eyeballing the Manhattan Flowers Stamp set ever since the New Catalog Bash in January. . . . I can't wait to get stamping with it. Remember SU is having a promotion right now for becoming a SU demo . . Click HERE for more details, and if you're interested give me a call, so we can chat!

Today I would like to show you how to use the Textured Impression Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up! See video below! :o) You'll have to excuse my voice. . . I'm getting a cold!

Now that you've watched the video here's my card I made. . . like I mention in the video just add ribbon or other embellishment and you're done! With the right colors this would make a wonderful wedding invitation!!!

I did want to add a little bit more to the embossed area, so I got out my standing block and rubbed it over the card stock.

Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing some of you at the make and take class today!

Have a GREAT weekend!!!

Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die

Hello Stampers!

I am so excited with today's card. . . I just got my Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die from Stampin' Up! on Wednesday and last night at card club I had a minute to try it out. OMGoodness it was so simple to make! After seeing some samples on blogs I just knew what I was going to do.

Using Pink Pirouette Card Stock and my Big Shot was able to crank out my first card. I was very impressed with the deepness of the embossing. I used a sponge and my Riding Hood Red Ink Pad to make the embossed area pop!

I finished the card by tying some Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the top of the card. . . talk about an easy WOW project! If you have a workshop schedule you just might see this card as a make and take project. . . I LOVE this new Die!!!

Before I go I'd like to send out a quick "GlitterBees Good Job" for downline member Patty. Patty made her first Stampin' Start Goal!!! Besides being rewarded with 2 free stamp sets from Stampin' Up! I had a little gift I gave Patty at card club last night! GREAT JOB PATTY!!!

Three Easy Payments for the Starter Kit

**Second post of the day**
Dates: NOW - April 30, 2009

For a limited-time Stampin' Up! is offering you a Three Easy Payments option for purchasing the Starter Kit. In these challenging economic times, it's easy to consider the up-front cost of signing up to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator a financial barrier. In an effort to assist you we're trying out the Three Easy Payments option.

The Three Easy Payments option allows a you to make a partial initial Starter Kit payment and still receive the Starter Kit right away in order to get her business up and running.

If you are concerned about the up-front cost, or simply like the idea of paying for the starter kit over 3 months you'll want to act now to take advantage of both the Sale-A-Bration Starter Kit discount and the Three Easy Payments option! That's two great financial benefits on top of an additional stamp set free from the current catalog.

How it Works
You'll need to contact me to fill out her Starter Kit form and other paperwork, because this option is not available Online.

Using the credit card information provided on the Three Easy Payments form, Stampin' Up! charges the initial Starter Kit payment (see the table below for a breakdown of payments) on the day paperwork is processed and sends the Starter Kit.

On or around the 15th day of the two months following the month Stampin' Up! received the paperwork, Stampin' Up! will charge the subsequent payments using the same credit card information provided on the Three Easy Payments form, and the Starter Kit will be paid in full.

Details and Restrictions
To qualify for the Three Easy Payments option on the discounted Sale-A-Bration Starter Kit price of $169, Starter Kit paperwork and an accompanying Three Easy Payments form must be received by Stampin' Up! (not postmarked) on or before March 31, 2009. Paperwork received after this time will be processed for the regular Starter Kit price of $199.

After Sale-A-Bration, to qualify for the Three Easy Payments option on the regular Starter Kit price of $199, Starter Kit paperwork and an accompanying Three Easy Payments form must be received by Stampin' Up! (not postmarked) on or before April 30, 2009. Any Three Easy Payments forms received after this time will not be processed. Demonstrator Support will contact the recruit to determine how she would like to proceed.

Any applicable state taxes will be charged with the first Starter Kit payment. (The full amount of taxes applicable to the total Starter Kit amount will be added to the first payment. No taxes will be applied to the second and third payments.)

For recruits who wish to add the Stampin' Memories Starter Kit add-on for $50.00, this full amount (including any applicable taxes for the add-on) will be added to their initial Starter Kit payment.

Any commissions for the demonstrator will be held until the final Starter Kit payment is successfully completed. At that point, Stampin' Up! will release commissions to the demonstrator. In the event that the second or third payment is unsuccessful, Stampin' Up! will satisfy the payment from the demonstrator's commissions and if necessary continue to hold commissions until the full Starter Kit payment is satisfied. Any remaining funds will then be released to the demonstrator.

Great Grads

Hello Stampers!

Today's post is for all of you out there who have a Senior graduating this year. . . have you thought about stamping the party invites??? Wednesday night Cindy was over and did just that. We found an idea on SCS that we both really liked and CASED it.

Cindy worked so hard stamping, while I worked on cutting card stock. Now she just needs to assemble them and she's done!

Before Cindy came over I borrowed her stamp set and made a card, just to make sure I had the measurements correct. I have a cousin graduating from Aledo High School in May, and I'm so excited that I have her card done. . . now I just hope I don't loose it before May 17th rolls around. :o)

Here's the card Cindy is using for her party invites! She wheeled and stamped 96 of these babies! She did great! Cindy chose to use Night of Navy, Whisper White and Silver Card Stock. For my example below I chose Glorious Green, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The stamp set used was Great Grads and the stars came from the Jumbo Wheel, Classic Stars and the ticket corner punch was used on the edges of the card stock.
Remember, if you need help with invitations for that next big event make sure to give me a call or send me an e-mail. I can help you design invites for any special event. . . including weddings, baby showers or even graduation open houses. . . . the list could go on and on.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a GREAT day!

Yummy Paint Can #2

Hi Stampers!

It's Friday the 13th!!! Got any special weekend plans? I have a few things on my to do list, but mainly I want/need to spend lots of time with the two special guys in my life! However, I'm not sure how much time I'll get alone with them as Rocky was asked to help move his parents, sister and niece into the farm house. I am gonna try to get him home early, because Rocky will be in Milwaukee, WI next weekend at the HOG (Harley Owners Group) Officer Training.

OK . . onto sample time!!! Today's post might look familiar to you. Yes you have seen this before, but it was in a different color. I think changing the color really changes the whole project, so I wanted to share it with you again. All of my Sale-a-bration Hostess are getting their very own Yummy Tin. . .Click HERE to see my first post and first paint can, in a different color.

I put sticky strip on the Raspberry Tart Designer Series paper and attached that to the paint can. Then I tied Kiwi Kiss Double Stripped Ribbon round the paint can. Using my circle cutter I cut a piece of designer paper for the lid. Finally I stamped Yummy in Kiwi Kiss ink onto Whisper White card stock and cut it out and attached it with Stampin' Dimensionals. Very quick and easy.

If you'd like to get a Yummy can for FREE all you have to do is to hold a workshop before March 31st. Call or e-mail me ASAP and their will be time to get the invites in the mail. Another way to get a Yummy can is to place an $100 or more order with me online at http://www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net/before March 31st and I'll send you a Yummy Paint Can.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Big Shot/Yummy Pocket Card

Hello Stampers!

Remember how I talk about CASEing cards (Copy And Share Everything)? Well today's card was CASED from Patty Bennent. Patty is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator who likes to blog. I love to check out Patty's blog and often do daily.

I just knew I wanted to case her when I saw the pocket card she made using the Top Note die and her Big Shot.

Here is my version of the card. I love to take an idea CASE it and change it just a bit to make it my own. Stamping and Sharing is so much FUN!!!

This is a Sale-a-bration Card. . . it used the Designer paper, Ribbon Bundle and Yummy Stamp set, which are all Sale-a-bration products. I also used Basic Black ink and certainly Celery, Whisper White and Bashful Blue Card Stock.

Thanks for stopping by today and as always if you have any questions, please ask!

Botanical Blooms

Hello Stampers!

Today I want to share a card with you that all card club members are making this month. It uses one of my favorite Sale-a-bration stamp sets: Botanical Blooms. Remember you ONLY have until March 31st to earn Sale-a-bration products for FREE.

For this card I also got out my new Eyelet Border punch. I wasn't very sold on this punch when I saw it in the catalog and then I started to see samples and that was all it took and it quickly make it to the top of my order list.

I love putting Basic Black and Whisper White together. . . there's just something about the contrast of the two colors and I thought the Tempting Turquoise would be a nice touch. Originally I had added leaves, but thought the green looked out of place, so I flipped the card stock over and re-stamped. . . this time stamping more flowers.

I used my ticket corner punch on the top corners of the Whisper White card stock, and I finished the card with embossing Happy Birthday from the On Your Birthday stamp set in Whisper White Embossing Powder.

I should also mention I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig on the flowers to take the guess work out of stamping. The Stamp-a-ma-jig is one tool that I just don't know how I ever lived so long without it. If you don't know how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig, please ask!

This was a very fun card to make, and I hope club members will enjoy using the new eyelet border punch as well as embossing this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s.
Thursday card club meets tomorrow night! If you're unable to attend make sure you have your order turned in by 5pm. Thanks!

Baroque Motifs ~ Catalog CASE

Hello Stampers!

I have another card to show you today that I CASED (Copy and Share Everything) from the catalog. It uses the stamp set: Baroque Motifs (113490 $27.95) and I need to thank my mother real quick, because it's her stamp set. . . Thanks MOM!

While blog surfing is so much fun I've found the catalog is also an awesome and quick place to turn to get ideas.

OK . . . so here's my card. . . I was so happy that I found my guide came with the crafters tool kit to make a perfect row of holes. . . it has been MIA for awhile. . .I guess that means I need to clean my stamp room.

Colors are Regal Rose, Rose Red, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. I got the ribbon for free through the Sale-a-bration promo. Remember you only have until 3/31 to earn the Sale-a-bration items for FREE!

The next picture I want to share with you is of my card with the catalog. What do you think??? Did I do OK?

Top Note Bag

Hello Stampers and Happy MONDAY!!!

Just a reminder that Tuesday and Thursday's card clubs meet THIS WEEK! Both clubs start at 6:30pm. We are down to our 2 final months before we start the fun all over again. :o)

I want to give you a heads up that I will be asking you this month if you'd like to rejoin the club. As a current club member you get a "first right of refusal" before I open your club night up to other stampers. What does that mean? I'll ask you first if you want to continued with the same night or switch to another night, before I recruit new stampers to join us.

OK . . on to sample time. Remember me talking about that Big Shot 3D swap I did in January??? Well. . . I have another sample to share with you. Today's sample was also made by my Upline, Kathy V. Kathy used the Top Note Big Shot Bigz Die and the Serif Essentials Alphabet. To decorate it she used the Yummy Sale-a-bration stamp set and Raspberry Tart Designer Paper. I love how she used the White gel pen to "stitch" around the top of the die. GREAT JOB Kathy!

Thanks for stopping by today, and don't forget you have until Noon today to comment on Friday's post and have a chance to win the Blog Candy. Good Luck!

Botanical Blooms & Sweet Little Sentiments

Hello Stampers,

What a wonderful Spring day we had yesterday. While my "Real Job" keep me inside until 5pm Blake and I was able to spend about an hour outside when we got home last night. I spent the time sweeping the porch off, while Blake blew his bubbles and wrote with sidewalk chalk. It was a very nice way to unwind after a long day at the office. Here's a picture of Blake on the porch. He's getting so big and will be 3 next month! I better get started stamping the party invites!!!

Today I would like to share a card with you that I'm making at Angie's workshop tonight. Angie is celebrating with Sale-a-Bration! :o) For this card I used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Botanical Blooms and the Hostess Stamp set: Sweet Little Sentiments.

When you use the stamp set Botanical Blooms be sure to have your Stamp-a-ma-jig close by. . . it makes 2 step stamping sets very easy to use. Colors used are Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink and So Saffron. And I got to use the new Eyelet Border Punch . . I love this new punch!!!

Above is a close up of the Sweet Little Sentiment and you can also see the two step stamping really well.

Thanks for blogging with me today, and I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!
