Framed Art!!!

Hi Stampers . . . .

I am very excited to share with you a piece of "framed art" I made on my lunch break this past Wednesday. I was so pleased with how it came out it really "killed" me to wait until today to post it. . . . it did help having stampers over on Wednesday so that I could point it out to them.

Applying Decor Elements onto picture frames is a wonderful way for people to decorate without having the permanency of applying them to the wall. I say permanent, because once I put one up it's going to be there for a few years. . . all the Decor Elements are removable, but not reusable!

This is also a perfect way for those who rent to decorate, because when you move it can move with you!!!

For this project I first found a picture frame . . this one was on sale at Menards for about $14. Size is 16x20.

Then I made sure the glass was clean and dry and applied the Tree, Thoughts & Prayers (Chocolate Small Size 116002 $12.95) to the top of the glass.

Then I took my scissors and cut apart the Directions of your Dreams (Chocolate Small Size 116076 $10.95) and applied them as shown above. You can see in the picture below how the image was. . . it looks great that way, but if I left it as is it wouldn't have worked with the project. . . . so by cutting it I made it work. . . . and it looks GREAT if I do say so myself!

Finally I took a family picture we had taken last summer and mounted it onto Chocolate Chip card stock and put that onto poster board, which I had cut down to the correct size.

Now the hardest step is to decide where I want to hang it. Right now it's in my family room for all to see, but it just might make it's way into my bedroom. :o)

Thanks for stopping by, and please let me know if you need help making your own framed art!

Stamping with Bleach!

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a card made with Bleach . . OK it was stamped with Bleach. For this card I used the level 1 hostess stamp set Of the Earth. You can earn this stamp set for free by having a party with sales of $150 or more or by placing an order of that size yourself. :o)

To make a bleach "ink pad" all you need to do is pour some bleach onto a napkin which is on a plate. Next tap your stamp onto your "bleach ink pad". . . then sit back and watch as the color fades away and your image show through.

It is very important to clean your stamps with Stampin' Up!'s stampin mist so that you get all of the bleach off of your rubber.

If you have and questions, please ask.
Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. Card Club members . . . you get to make this card this month . . . Get Excited!!!

Big Shot Swap!

Hi Stampers!

Today is the final day of our little vacation, and I'm so ready to be home . . . so that I can relax! Sometimes vacations are so stressful!!!

Yesterday we had a lazy day . . . they guys went golfing, while the ladies and kids stayed back. . . . the kids colored t-shirts and then we went shopping.

When we got back everyone went to the pool, and I stayed back at the campground to STAMP!!! I got 32 swap cards made. What do you think . . . there's a lot of supplies cut below!!! When I'm doing a project where I know that I'm making many of the same one I like to cut all of my pieces first, so that I just have to assemble the cards.

And here's my swap card!

After making Taco Pie in our Dutch Ovens went went for a little drive and stopped at the fire station for a tour.

Monticello, Indiana has 4000 calls a year! That's A LOT!!!

Vacation Flower Top Pens

Hi Stampers,

My family is still on our mini vacation, and I had a few minutes to crank out some Flower Top Pens. Click HERE for instructions on how to make your own. They are very simple to create and only take a little Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used the Pink Flamingo DSP because that's all I had in Indiana with me.
I just knew that would look great on my camper table. . . don't you just love my "vase" . . . a real vase is something I should put on my camper NEED list.

AND . . . I couldn't leave you without a couple of pictures from Indiana . . . today we went to the Beach . . . it was not what we expected at all. It was more like a pool in a lake with a sand bottom. I did NOT get into it, but Rocky and Blake got their feet wet.

Blake spent most of his time in the "water park" . . . he had so much fun!

We went for a 75 minute boat ride that was so much fun. . . they said the average house/lot sells for $400K!!! I should have taken pictures of the houses . . . . some were big and somme where not. Here's a picture of Blake taking a short rest. . . I just love it when he wants to cuddle.

AND . . . I'll leave you today with a picture of my guys. They both had so much fun. Rocky rode all of the roller coasters while Blake enjoyed his time in kiddie land and we all had a blast on the log ride.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Stampers from Jellystone Park in Monticello, Indiana . . . .

Our family is taking a mini vacation to Indiana Beach with Rocky's family . . . yesterday we arrived around 1pm and ate a quick lunch after getting the camper all set up then went swimming in the very cold pool.
Then we went for a hay rack ride.

Today we have plans to go to the theme park. I am hoping to get lots of stamping done too, as I brought my Big Shot to work on my convention swaps!
Below is a picture of one of my convention swaps that I have hopes of getting down before we head back home.
I'm in two organized Big Shot Swaps, and this is one of my swap cards. What do you think??? You might reconize the layout from THIS card.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to have more vacation pictures to share with you tomorrow!

Level 3 Kind & Caring Thoughts (again)

Hi Stampers,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and had a chance to celebrate the 4th of July with family and friends. While it was nice and rainy for the 4th of July the 5th of July was a beautiful day. We started the day in church and then went out for lunch. After Blake (and I) took a nap we went to a family cookout.

We all had a wonderful time there. . . . Since I was very busy this weekend I didn't get any new stamping done, but lucky for me I made up a bunch of cards for my New Catalog Debut using the Level 3 stamp set Kind & Caring Thoughts. . . . Of course I used some new DSP and In Colors.
Have I told you lately how much I LOVE the new stuff??? AND . . . . in Under 1 month I'll be in Utah at the Stampin' Up! convention and getting some more NEW STUFF!!! I'm really hoping they release the Digital Scrapbooking Software at convention. . . I can't wait to give it a try.

Thanks for stopping by today . . and have a GREAT Monday!

Level 3 Kind & Caring Thoughts

Hi Stampers,

Today I have another card to share with you using the Level 3 Kind & Caring Thoughts stamp set I really LOVE this stamp set if you haven't figured it out yet, and I LOVE the new In Colors too!!!

AND . . . yesterday Rocky's sister got married so here are a few pictures from the wedding. Rocky was a groomsman, Blake the ring bearer, and I a bridesmaid. It was so much fun to have both of my guys in tuxes.

First picture is of Rocky and Me!
Next picture is of Rocky's family. . . his sister Kiri and her new husband Brian, Chuck & Stacey (Rocky's parents) and Stacey is holding Kiri's daughter Makenna. . . then of course Blake, Me & Rocky.

This last picture is of Rocky with Blake and our niece Makenna. . . the trees made for such a pretty background.

I hope you had a great 4th of July and thanks for stopping by!

So Many Toys

Hi Stampers!

Happy 4th of July. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend. . . . and today I'd like to share a picture of the new Decor Element I put up in Blake's upstairs toy room yesterday. I just love that it says so many toys so little time, because that's Blake's life. . . if only my life was that simple. :o)

First a picture of part of this toy room (aka closet). We are very blessed to have 3 bedrooms upstairs and each of them basically have rooms for closets . . . it's great!

And now a closeup of the Decor Element, So Many Toys. I purchased the Medium size, which is 30-1/4" X 7-1/2" . . . I really thought the white would "pop" on the green wall and it did!

After putting up a few of these Decor Elements I really want to suggest that you have a friend help you hold it in place. . . just until you get the transfer sheet stuck onto the wall. . . this is especially important when you are working with larger Decor Elements. I actually put this one on myself and before I "stuck" the transfer sheet on the wall I stepped back to make sure it was straight and one of my corners came off of the wall. . . so I spent a long time pulling the transfer sheet apart from itself, but as you can see from the finished project I got it done!

Another suggestion when you're working with a large Decor Element . . . if you can cut it apart into smaller sections to apply it is much easier to work with. :o)

Thanks for stopping by today, and pray that it's doesn't rain this afternoon as Rocky, Blake and I are all in an outdoors wedding!

Happy 4th of July!

Upsy Daisy Pitcher

Hi Stampers!!!

New Décor Elements are HERE!!! You can view the new catalog by clicking HERE and I've also added a link to the right side of my blog! (As well as the links to the new catalog and spanish version of the catalog.)

I just love the New Décor Elements and have so many on my wish list! You can really do so much with them. . . as I've mention before they are removable, but not reusable! In the past I have applied the holiday Décor Elements to picture frames so that I can "reuse" them each year.

Today's sample shows the White Upsy Daisy Décor Elements and it was applied to a clear pitcher! Upsy Daisy are designed to embellish the lid of a laptop. Select one color or mix and match two or three - the choice is yours. This pattern will also add flair to walls, frames and more! Just like the pitcher shown below.

Upsy Daisy Pitcher

Accessories
• White Upsy Daisy Décor Elements™
• Clear glass pitcher

You can also get Upsy Daisies in: Dark Gray, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Taken with Teal, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and White (shown above).

Just a reminder . . . New Catalog Debut is TONIGHT at my house (789 Jefferson St., Galesburg) from 6:30-8:30pm . . . . I hope you can stop by!
