Cindy's 4th of July Purse

Hi Stampers,

I am very excited to share with you today pictures of Cindy's Rag Quilt Purse she made with a 4th of July theme.

Cindy has been very busy making purses ever since she attended my Rag Quilt Purse Class a couple of months ago.  Don't you just love the star on the purse???  Here's a close-up of it!

GREAT Job Cindy!!  I am so proud of you!!!

I also have a current picture of Blake and Callie Ann to share with you .  . . I can't believe she will be a month old on Friday!  Time is going way to fast!!!

Don't you just LOVE the little dress Callie Ann has on.  My mother-in-law found it at a yard sale and I think the bows look just like our Melon Mambo Polka-dot Ribbon . . . don't you?  I think it's safe to say that the In Colors are keeping up with the latest color trends.

Just a reminder . . . only a few days left to order from the current catalog. . . shop 24/7 at http://www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net/.

Special Rejoin Starter Kit Offer

Hi Stampers,

As part of the effort to recruit 10,000 new demonstrators during 2010, we’ve created a Rejoin Starter Kit that will help former demonstrators rejoin Stampin’ Up! for only $35 during the month of July!

This offer is available to all former demonstrators. To rejoin Stampin' Up!, former demonstrators only need to purchase the Rejoin Starter Kit and sign and complete a new Independent Demonstrator Application and Agreement.

The Rejoin Starter Kit Contains:

•2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog (8)

•2010 Summer Mini Catalog (8)

•Guest invitation postcards (100)

•Customer order forms (50)

•2010-2011 Definitely Decorative catalog (1)

•Celebrando Creatividad (1)

•Two months free Demonstrator Business Web Services (DBWS) subscription

Former demonstrators will already have the stamping supplies they need, so, in order to keep the price so low, the Rejoin Starter Kit contains the bare essentials to help them get their businesses back up and running.

And if you are not a former demonstrator you can always purchase the Mini Starter Kit until June 30, 2010.

Potential recruits can join Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator for just $99 when they purchase a special Mini Starter Kit.

Highs and Lows

Hi Stampers and Happy Saturday!

Just a reminder I am having a garage sale at my house today from 8am - Noon.  There are lots of Stampin' Up! items left so make sure to stop by and see me.  789 Jefferson Street, Galesburg.

ALSO . . . the UPS guy brought me boxes of the NEW CATALOGS!!!  Card club members can pick up their FREE copy anytime!!!  If you are not a club member and would like a catalog cost is just $5.

Today I'd like to share with you part of a post that Stampin' Up! had on their demo website:

Over the last several weeks, we have experienced a lot of highs and lows. The month before a new catalog starts can be very exciting: getting a peek at the new Idea Book & Catalog is a moment demonstrators wait anxiously for, as well as the preorder opportunity!

Along with all of the excitement, however, come the difficulties that go with any major change-and we recognize that this year has been more difficult than most. We have received many phone calls and e-mails from you, and we want you to know that we have been listening, reading, and carefully considering your thoughts and feelings on the various issues that have come up. We'd like to touch on just a few of those issues for a moment.

Color Change

The Color Renovation has been a large undertaking, to say the least! With all the great new possibilities a change in our colors presents, we recognize that this is a significant--and sometimes emotional--change we have asked you to undergo with us. Change is both exciting and scary, but we sincerely hope you understand that this change is intended to keep Stampin' Up!'s product offering fresh and relevant in the world of paper-crafting, and thank all who have enthusiastically embraced the Color Renovation.

We also recognize that a change of this magnitude has posed unique challenges, and that those challenges have affected you. While much of the transition is going smoothly, the notable, and very visible exceptions may have put you in difficult situations with your customers, and for that we sincerely apologize.

Items Prematurely Out of Stock

We understand how frustrating it can be when you're excited to offer a new product, or purchase it yourself, only to find out that it has already sold out. As we have talked about before, forecasting accurately is a complicated task, and although we do our best to take into account all the variables we can, certain products still surprise us. So what are we doing about this in the future? Since it is you, the demonstrator, who determines how successful a product will be, we will be implementing demonstrator review panels to help us better determine order quantities, long before we place orders for new products. Nothing can guarantee that we will be 100% accurate in our forecasting, but we look forward to being able to better partner with and serve you through this added step!

As we enjoy the highs and weather the lows of this month together, please know that we are aware of you and the difficulties you are experiencing. Some of you may feel that we have not met your expectations, and your faith in us has been damaged. We are listening, and even if we cannot always correct a situation in an ideal manner, we are grateful for the time you take to communicate with us. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we look for ways to address your concerns. It is our partnership with you that makes Stampin' Up! who we are, and we hope you know that we value all you do. We are excited about our future with you as we work together to move Stampin' Up! forward.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope today's post sheds a little light.

Tori & Pam's Card

Hi Stampers,

I have another card I'd like to share with you that Callie Ann and I received.  This card was given to us from Tori and Pam.

They used a Jumbo wheel to create the card.  As you can guess this would be an awesome card you could crank out over and over again.  I'm thinking it would make for a very cute birth announcement too.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check back tomorrow, as I hope to continue to post each day. . . at least Monday-Friday. :o)

Enjoy your day!

Baby Card

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a card I received in the mail yesterday.  It was sent from my friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Julie D.

Julie used the Big Shot and Bigz Dies to cut out the letters for Baby from designer paper and chip board.  Behind each letter the card stock was ran through the Big Shot with the textured plates to create the textured effect.

Thanks Julie!

Callie Ann and I have also received many cards the past couple of weeks, and I am looking forward to sharing more of those with you soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Callie Ann's Announcement

Hi Stampers,

Two post in two days. . . are you as excited as I am???  Callie Ann has been a wonderful baby, but I'm still trying to find time to do everything I need to do in one day. :o)

Today I'd like to share with you the birth announcement that I made using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio.  I had good intentions to stamp Callie Ann's announcements,  but time has gotten away from me and they need to go out now!

It was very quick and easy to create this announcement and I even did with one hand while I was holding my precious Callie Ann. :o)

You can print items from My Digital Studio using your home printer, or you can even order professional prints directly from Stampin' Up!

Now I just need to get my envelopes addressed and mailed out.

As always if you have questions, please ask!

Carryover Colors of Card Stock on Last Chance List

On the Last Chance list, you will notice that several of our carryover colors of card stock are listed, as they are being reconfigured for the new catalog on July 1. As stock on the current configuration of these products is depleted, they will be listed as "sold out" on the Last Chance list. For example, both the 8-1/2 x 11 and 12 x 12 packs of Basic Black indicate that they are sold out, as they are both changing for the new catalog, and our current stock on these items has sold out.

However, as these products are carrying over into the new catalog in new configurations, instead of having these items be unavailable until July 1, the new configuration will be offered as soon as they are available. For example, 8-1/2 x 11 Basic Black card stock has been available in packs of 40, but in the new catalog it will be part of the Neutrals collection (which will now make up part of our core line of colors), and be offered in packs of 24, like the other individual color packs of card stock. As the packs of 40 in Basic Black have now sold out, as well as the packs of 12 x 12, we can now make the new configurations available, and OEX will prompt you with the updated item codes and prices.

When a certain size of carryover color card stock is listed as "sold out" on the Last Chance list, we will alert you as soon as the new configuration is available. We anticipate having all the new card stock in the warehouse by mid-June, with Basic Black available immediately. This way, you will be able to continue selling these basic colors to your customers without any concern of them being unavailable until July 1.

Callie Ann's Wall

Hi Stampers!

Today I'd like to share with you the area above Callie Ann's changing table. . . for this project I got out my Big Shot and started to cut letters and butterflies from the Raw Vinyl using my Big Shot Dies!

It took very little time to cut out and apply the decor elements to the wall.  What do you think?

Here is a picture of our sweet Callie Ann!

And a family picture!

And here we are getting ready to go home!

Blog post might be spotty for a little bit, but I'll keep working on it!  :o)

StampAttics' Sample

Hi Stampers,

I have been so busy preparing for Carol's Mom and Me workshop on Saturday and Card Club next week that I do have new things to share with you, but I didn't have time to take any pictures yet. . . until then I have a sample to share with you of a card sample from the last StampAttic's meeting.

Don't you just love the flower on this card???  Let me know if you'd like to learn how to make it and we can schedule a party where I can share this easy technique with you and your friends.

If you have any questions, please ask!

Happy Stamping!
Georgia

p.s.  Starting in July you'll notice a slight increase in make and take cost.  With the release of the new catalog July 1st you'll notice that card stock prices have gone up and I will have to raise my prices come July 1st. I know how I don't like things dropped on me at the last minute, and I'm guessing you don't either, so I thought I would spring this on you know. . . . BTW I don't have any make and takes planned as of yet, because I am still waiting for the arrival of our second child.

Baby Thank You

Hi Stampers,

A couple of weeks ago the Ladies of Harley group had a baby shower for me.  It was so much fun!  Well I just knew I needed to stamp some thank you cards to send out.

While the main stamp set I used was retired, you can do this layout with any image.

I'm not sure if you can tell from this picture but the hand and thank you are both embossed.

BTW - my newsletter was sent out yesterday if you didn't get a copy e-mail me at georgia@mustainlaw.com and I can forward it into you.

Dog - Punch Art.

Hi Stampers,

Today is an exciting day, because the last chance lists are released!!!  You'll want to check out http://www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net/ to view the list.  If you are on my e-mail list I'll e-mail a copy soon!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. . . mine was spent waiting to have a baby, which didn't happen.  However, my husband's cousin and his wife did have their baby girl on my due date! Since she was three weeks early I don't really want to switch her due dates I just hope mine comes before the weekend!

I spent a lot of time this weekend with family, so that didn't leave much time for stamping stuff to share with you. . . . however, I do have a card to share with you . . . it's more punch art that I snapped a picture of at the last StampAttic's meeting.

I decided to share the dog with you, because it looks sad.  I thought it would be perfect, since that's how I'm feeling waiting for the baby to come.

Thanks for stopping by today!
