Highs and Lows

Hi Stampers and Happy Saturday!

Just a reminder I am having a garage sale at my house today from 8am - Noon.  There are lots of Stampin' Up! items left so make sure to stop by and see me.  789 Jefferson Street, Galesburg.

ALSO . . . the UPS guy brought me boxes of the NEW CATALOGS!!!  Card club members can pick up their FREE copy anytime!!!  If you are not a club member and would like a catalog cost is just $5.

Today I'd like to share with you part of a post that Stampin' Up! had on their demo website:

Over the last several weeks, we have experienced a lot of highs and lows. The month before a new catalog starts can be very exciting: getting a peek at the new Idea Book & Catalog is a moment demonstrators wait anxiously for, as well as the preorder opportunity!

Along with all of the excitement, however, come the difficulties that go with any major change-and we recognize that this year has been more difficult than most. We have received many phone calls and e-mails from you, and we want you to know that we have been listening, reading, and carefully considering your thoughts and feelings on the various issues that have come up. We'd like to touch on just a few of those issues for a moment.

Color Change

The Color Renovation has been a large undertaking, to say the least! With all the great new possibilities a change in our colors presents, we recognize that this is a significant--and sometimes emotional--change we have asked you to undergo with us. Change is both exciting and scary, but we sincerely hope you understand that this change is intended to keep Stampin' Up!'s product offering fresh and relevant in the world of paper-crafting, and thank all who have enthusiastically embraced the Color Renovation.

We also recognize that a change of this magnitude has posed unique challenges, and that those challenges have affected you. While much of the transition is going smoothly, the notable, and very visible exceptions may have put you in difficult situations with your customers, and for that we sincerely apologize.

Items Prematurely Out of Stock

We understand how frustrating it can be when you're excited to offer a new product, or purchase it yourself, only to find out that it has already sold out. As we have talked about before, forecasting accurately is a complicated task, and although we do our best to take into account all the variables we can, certain products still surprise us. So what are we doing about this in the future? Since it is you, the demonstrator, who determines how successful a product will be, we will be implementing demonstrator review panels to help us better determine order quantities, long before we place orders for new products. Nothing can guarantee that we will be 100% accurate in our forecasting, but we look forward to being able to better partner with and serve you through this added step!

As we enjoy the highs and weather the lows of this month together, please know that we are aware of you and the difficulties you are experiencing. Some of you may feel that we have not met your expectations, and your faith in us has been damaged. We are listening, and even if we cannot always correct a situation in an ideal manner, we are grateful for the time you take to communicate with us. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we look for ways to address your concerns. It is our partnership with you that makes Stampin' Up! who we are, and we hope you know that we value all you do. We are excited about our future with you as we work together to move Stampin' Up! forward.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope today's post sheds a little light.
