Goodbye 2009

Goodbye 2009 and Hello 2010!!!

Have you made your New Years resolution yet???  If not, you still have a little bit of time to think of something.  Personally I would like to find time to do more scrapbooking.  With baby #2 on the way I've been busy working on Blake's baby book.  It's good motivation thinking in 6 months I have another baby with a whole baby book of it's own.  Now I just need to get busy on the scrapbooks!!!

Did you notice the new banner on my blog today???  It was made using the My Digital Studio (MDS) software from Stampin' Up!  MDS could be my ticket to getting all caught up scrapbooking before baby #2 arrives. :o)

Well this is the last post for 2009 . . .thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to check back tomorrow.

Have a SAFE New Years!!!

Tote-ally Tess

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using the new stamp set, Tote-ally Tess.  This stamp set will be in the new Occasions Mini catalog, which starts in January.  I actually I have few samples of this card to share with you today and if you have a minute leave me a comment or send me an e-mail of the card you like best.

This first card is mounted on Whisper White card stock.  Using the masking technique I added Tess' bag and stamping supplies.

The next card was changed up and mounted on a color card stock instead of white.

And the last card is the same as the second card, but I added a couple of brads on the bottom right corner.

So . . .  . what do you think?  Which one do you like best?

Thanks for stopping by today, and have a GREAT day!

Fox & Friends

Hi Stampers,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!!!  Ours was wonderful, and I even took some time away from my computer.  :o)  Blake was so excited about Christmas this year.  On Christmas morning he kept telling us this was the BEST Christmas EVER, which was very nice to hear.

So first I'd like to share with you a picture of Blake on Christmas morning.

You can tell he was excited about Christmas. . . one comment he made was how Santa used the same wrapping paper as we used. . . . I told him Santa must have ran out and borrowed some of ours and Blake was fine with that.

Besides having LOTS of time with Rocky & Blake this weekend I took a couple of minutes to stamp a real quick card.  This was the first time I had stamped a card in a while.  Of course I knew I wanted to used my new stamp set, Fox & Friends. . . you'll find this in the mini catalog that should be in your mailbox this week if you are on my mailing list.

I made a little card using Crushed Curry and Melon Mambo.  Of course I needed to try out my new heart punch too.  I think this would be a very cute Valentine for Blake's preschool friends. . . what do you think???

Well that's it for today . . . thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Moments

Hi Stampers,

Well I had high hopes of sharing a stamping creation with you today that I stamped with my new stamps, but last night I only got as far as putting some of my stamps together.  However, I did have fun with the ladies and kids who attended my Mom & Me class and after everyone left I spent the night wrapping Christmas gifts.  Last year I was still wrapping on Christmas eve, and it's a goal this year NOT to be wrapping on Christmas eve.

So instead of a creation I made I'd like to share with you a sample from the Stampin' Up! website.  This card below uses the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Happy Moments.

Don't forget Sale-a-bration starts January 1st, so schedule your workshop TODAY!!!

BAB Scrapbook Page

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share a picture with you that those of you who are attending my Mom & Me class on Monday get to make. . . . it's a 12x12 scrapbook page.  I used the cute Build-a-Bear to make a santa for my page.

The picture is of my son taking in 2007 when he went to see santa. . . you can tell from the picture that Blake didn't like Santa that year.  In the center of each of the snowflake punches is a gold brad.  This years picture was much better, but as with most of my digital photos it's only in digital form.

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to take it easy.  Today we are going to attempt to make a gingerbread house. . that is if I start to feel better. . . Rocky gave me his cold. :o(

Happy Stamping!

Christmas Cards

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share a few Christmas cards with you, but before I do that I want to remind you that you can get Stampin' Up! gift certificates from me.  Either buy one for a friend, or tell your "santa" to get one from me for you.  :o)

OK. . .now my friend needed a few more Christmas cards and asked me to make her some.  Since she attended my Christmas card stamp-a-stack using the scrapbook kit I thought I'd make her some using that kit.  It only took me about 15 minutes to crank out these 10 cards for her to pick from.

If you haven't had a chance to stamp your cards yet you have one week until Christmas!!!  Get Stamping.

Thanks for stopping by today!

p.s.  Don't forget my mom and me class is Monday night.  I have a couple spots open if you'd like to come let me know ASAP!

Pick a Petal

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share a very simple card with you.  It uses the stamp set called, Pick a Petal!  It simple, because it only uses one layer of card stock!!!  GREAT for when you have limited supplies.

For this card I took a different approach to the traditional Pick a Petal cards where you make flowers. . . instead I did a face!

Of course I thought he needed a little hair, so I tied a knot in a 4" piece of 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.  Then I took my scissors and cut off one of the edges and pulled the strings apart.  It is attached with a mini glue dot.

If you have questions, please ask!

Have a GREAT Sunday!

Bacon, Eggs & Binder Clips!!!

Hi Stampers,

Today I have a couple of pictures to share with you.  As you know I have been working on items for craft shows, and I'm pleased that last Saturday was my last craft show of the season.  At that craft show they had a bake sale, and my mother purchased the cutest snack. . . it was Bacon & Eggs!

They were so yummy!  The "yoke" of the egg was a M&M and the egg white was almond bark which topped the "bacon" which was pretzels.

One of the item that always seem to go well at craft shows are Jumbo Binder Clips.  They are a perfect way to display a holiday picture, note or even use to hold place cards for your holiday dinner.

I used a retired stamp set, but the ribbon, card stock and designer paper are all current.

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to RSVP for Sunday's make and take class.  Details can be found HERE.

New THINGS!!!

Hi Stampers!

2010 is going to bring so many NEW THINGS!!!  Including a NEW PUNCH STYLE!

Starting with the new 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and continuing with all new punch designs going forward, Stampin' Up! has adopted a new body style for our punches!

A few features of the new punch style:
•Low-profile, rectangular punch body allows for easier stacking and storing
•Punches lock shut for easier storage and transport
•Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
•Available in three sizes: small, medium, and extra-large
•New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use.
•Extra -large punch images also allow for two-step designs like the Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini Catalog
•Corner punches allow you to punch a corner design along the inside edges of a page, not just corners
•larger, whole-hand handle design provides better leverage for easier use
•Available in an exclusive Stampin' Up! color

Part of Stampin' Up!'s commitment to providing demonstrators and customers with the very best crafting tools includes the belief in what we call continuous improvement. Essentially what this means is that even if something works very well, but we see a chance to improve it, we will work to make it even better. While new punch designs will be in the new body style, existing designs will remain in the existing body style for now.

2010 will also bring New Clear-Mount Stamps!

Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and the 2010 Sale-A-Bration Brochure, Stampin′ Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount option.

Our new clear-mount stamps are the result of extensive research with the intent to maintain the very best image quality in the stamping industry, while at the same time offering the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable clear-mount stamps.

Clear-Mount Features
•Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.
•Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.
•Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin' Mist.
•Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.
•Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.
•Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets.
•Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy.
