Clipboard

Hi Stampers,

Have you ever thought to yourself . . . where is that big shot card, or 3D project??? So off to the right I have a list of categories where I will try to categorize things in my blog posts. When I first started to blog I had no idea I was going to organize them like this, so you may find things are missing. . . if so send me an e-mail and I will categorize it!

OK Sample time. . . I have been very busy between getting ready for card club, make and take and convention, but don't worry . . . I always make time for my blog. :o)

I had one of the On board Clipboards (109191 $6.50) laying around my stamp room and decided it would be a good time to play with it.

Using the new DSP Razzleberry Lemonade and the level 3 hostess stamp set Kind & Caring Thoughts, which I colored it with my markers and stamped on Whisper White card stock, I made a pretty keepsake. My mother-in-law had this photo taken of my son Blake while I was at Convention last year. . . since that has been a year ago I thought it was finally time to do something with the little wallet size photo.

This project is backed with Crushed Curry and of course I used the Crushed Curry polka-dot ribbon to "pull" it all together.

I hope you like today's post and I'll blog with you tomorrow. . . thanks for stopping by!

Oh . . . I forgot to mention I put magnets on the back of this clipboard so that I could hang it on the side of my fridge. :o)

SCS Name Tag

Hi Stampers. . . .

As you may know I am leaving Monday for Convention . . . the actual Convention is August 5th - 8th, but I like to get out there early. This way I'm ready to go on check in day!

Besides the Stampin' Up! catalog, website and Stampin' Success (the FREE magazine SU sends demos) I like to look at SplitCoastStampers for ideas. As with many websites you have screen names. My screen name for most websites I visit is Caulkins02.

Each year at convention SCS members make name tags so that their cyber friends can find them. I didn't do that last year, but had a few free minutes last night and decided I'd make one for this year's trip.

Using the design made by belindaking, which you can see below, I made my own name tag.

When I saw belindaking's sample I just knew I wanted to use the new In Colors to create my name tag. I just wish I had taken a picture of it before I put it in the plastic.

Remember to keep watching my blog for convention pictures while I'm gone. . . also don't forget TODAY by 5pm is the final time to RSVP for Saturday's Make and Take.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Ene's Pillow Box

Hi Stampers,

This past weekend I attend the StampAttic's meeting. One of the funnest things we do at the StampAttic's meeting is swap with other demonstrators. I LOVE to do this as I give me lots of samples to share with you, my customers. Today I'd like to share with you Ene's swap from the Big Shot Swap. I had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time with Ene at convention last year, and I'm going to miss her very much this year. (Hi Ene!)

For this swap Ene used the Pillow Box Bigz Die and some of the new IN Colors. GREAT JOB ENE! I LOVE IT!!!

Pillow Box Bigz Die (113466 Price: $19.95 )

Slip a little treat inside this petit pillow box or create a pocket full of posies. No matter what you do with this precious box, the recipient will love the amount of thought you put into it, even though it was a breeze to create.

■ To create pillow box, cut the die and fold along score marks. Adhere side of box using Sticky Strip for a firm hold, and fold ends of box in.

■ To use the Pillow Box die, you’ll need a Sizzix Big Shot machine and Standard Cutting Pads. Works best with Premium Crease Pad.

Thanks for stopping by and of course if you have questions, please ask!
Happy Stamping!

You can glue punched shapes directly onto your projects or layer a sheet of card stock that has been punched over a coordinating card stock for a reverse effect. The Full Heart punch is a classic heart shape that coordinates with the Love You Much stamp set.

Remember you have until Friday, July 31st to get this Final Deal of the week. . . However, if you let me know by 5pm tomorrow it will save you a little in shipping cost!

Have a GREAT day!

Make and Take Scrapbook Pages

Hi Stampers!

Today I'd like to share with you the 4 12x12 scrapbook pages we are making on Saturday, August 1st at The Well in Monmouth. Remember you have until 5pm on this Wednesday to RSVP for this event. Cost is $20 and you will also be stamping 8 cards. . . I should also mention we start at 10 am. . . RSVPs are a MUST, so that I can have your supplies ready.

The first 2 page layout I wanted to keep simple, because we are using the stencil. This is the first time I have stenciled on a scrapbook page and it was lots of fun!

The second 2 page layout is simple too, but we all get to enjoy using the Big Shot!

Of course we needed an embellishment, so I put clear Rhinestone Brads in the center of 3 of the Stars.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to register for the make and take. You can do so, by leaving a comment here, calling me (343-9356) or sending me an e-mail (georgia@mustainlaw.com).

P.S. Don't forget to check out my Stampin' Up! website after 11 am at http://www.georgiacaulkinsstampingup.net/ Today starts the final deal of the week for July. I will also be posting the deal of the week on my blog as soon as I remember to check it out. :o) If you would like to order the deal of the week let me know by 5pm Tuesday as I have a card club order going in and can add yours to that. . . this way you only have to pay 10% shipping instead of the minimum $6.95 for outside orders.

StampAttics Meeting

Hi Stampers,

Yesterday was a very busy day for me.
My day started with the StampAttic's meeting including discussion, make and takes and a Big Shot Die Swap. . . . followed by a planning meeting for the August 15th Stamp Fair and then lunch with some of my stamping buddies.

Then . . . I was home for about 1 hour which I spent running my Dyson and cleaning up from Rocky installing replacement windows, but I'm happy to report they are all in! Then I ended my day by going to Rocky's 10 year plus 1 reunion, which was lots of fun and the food was GREAT!

***StampAttic's Make and Take Projects***

The first make and take card (shown above) was done using the Watercolor crayons. . . it is so much fun to watercolor! Stamp set used is a level 1 hostess only stamp set, Country Morning.

Next card was done using the For All You Do (115360 $28.95) stamp set.

Third card was also done using the Watercolor Crayons and the Flower Fancy (111578 $36.95) stamp set.

The last make and take was to decorate the outside of the Thoroughly Modern Designer file Folders . . . these folders come in a pack of 10 for $10.95. . . . above is the folder my up-up-line Julie made. . . mine will say GC instead of JS. :o)

So as I'm sure you can guess I had a fun morning stamping with the gals!

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget leave a comment and say HI!

Hi Stampers,

Today is the StampAttic's meeting in Galesburg. . . I love going to these meeting and seeing some of my stamping buddies.

Our group leader Julie always has something awesome for us and I'm very excited to see what's in store for today!

Besides stamping today my family has a busy day . . . Rocky is going to try to install the final 7 windows in our house . . . if he gets it done today my whole house will have new windows!!! I'm hoping it makes a huge difference in our power bill this winter. :o)

And . . . Blake is off to Aunt Debbie's today for a sleepover as Rocky has his class reunion tonight. . . . it's the BIG 10 year plus 1 reunion, because they didn't get around to having one last year. :o)

I'm still working on convention swaps. . . here are 3 more I'm using . . . let me know which one you like best . . . I'm leaning towards the melon mambo one. :o)

Oval All

Hi Stampers!

Today I'd like to share with you a card I'm thinking about using in a swap at convention. For this card I of course wanted my Big Shot! I used both my textured plates and the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. Another must was using some of the new In Colors.

Below is a close up so you can see what the textured plates do to the card stock.

So . . . What do you think??? Any suggestions on how to make it better??? I feel like it's missing something, but I can't put my finger on it.

Convention 2009!!!

Hi Stampers . . .

In less than 2 weeks I'll be on my way to Utah for the Stampin' Up! Convention. Actually, I'm taking the noon train to Chicago on my Birthday (August 3rd) and then I fly out of O'Hare Tuesday morning. This is my second convention and I'm so excited to be going.

Last year I flew home on my b-day so I'm very blessed to have a husband who doesn't mind if I travel on my b-day.

There were 20 demos in our group last year and this year there are only 4 going from the StampAttic's. I'm very excited about the chance to really mingle with demos from the other areas. I already have a ride set up with two other demos to view the home office in Riverton.

While I'm gone I just may have some special SALES going so make sure to check out my blog each day! :o)

You can be sure I'll have tons of pictures to share with you, so you'll want to make sure to keep checking back often. Actual convention is August 5-8th and the first photo I'd like to share with you is of my bag voucher and name tag. The name tag gets me in to all of the "hot spots" of convention and the bag voucher gets me a bag of course! Inside it will have all of my new stamp sets!!!

The next picture I'd like to share with you is another one of my swaps I made for an organized swap at convention. . . . what do you think? I really love the polka-dot ribbon. . . how about you?

Thanks for stopping by today, and if you stopped by yesterday morning make sure to scroll on down for 2 additional post!

Have a GREAT day!

Framed Art!!!

Hi Stampers . . . .

I am very excited to share with you a piece of "framed art" I made on my lunch break this past Wednesday. I was so pleased with how it came out it really "killed" me to wait until today to post it. . . . it did help having stampers over on Wednesday so that I could point it out to them.

Applying Decor Elements onto picture frames is a wonderful way for people to decorate without having the permanency of applying them to the wall. I say permanent, because once I put one up it's going to be there for a few years. . . all the Decor Elements are removable, but not reusable!

This is also a perfect way for those who rent to decorate, because when you move it can move with you!!!

For this project I first found a picture frame . . this one was on sale at Menards for about $14. Size is 16x20.

Then I made sure the glass was clean and dry and applied the Tree, Thoughts & Prayers (Chocolate Small Size 116002 $12.95) to the top of the glass.

Then I took my scissors and cut apart the Directions of your Dreams (Chocolate Small Size 116076 $10.95) and applied them as shown above. You can see in the picture below how the image was. . . it looks great that way, but if I left it as is it wouldn't have worked with the project. . . . so by cutting it I made it work. . . . and it looks GREAT if I do say so myself!

Finally I took a family picture we had taken last summer and mounted it onto Chocolate Chip card stock and put that onto poster board, which I had cut down to the correct size.

Now the hardest step is to decide where I want to hang it. Right now it's in my family room for all to see, but it just might make it's way into my bedroom. :o)

Thanks for stopping by, and please let me know if you need help making your own framed art!

Stamping with Bleach!

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a card made with Bleach . . OK it was stamped with Bleach. For this card I used the level 1 hostess stamp set Of the Earth. You can earn this stamp set for free by having a party with sales of $150 or more or by placing an order of that size yourself. :o)

To make a bleach "ink pad" all you need to do is pour some bleach onto a napkin which is on a plate. Next tap your stamp onto your "bleach ink pad". . . then sit back and watch as the color fades away and your image show through.

It is very important to clean your stamps with Stampin' Up!'s stampin mist so that you get all of the bleach off of your rubber.

If you have and questions, please ask.
Thanks for stopping by!

When I'm doing a project where I know that I'm making many of the same one I like to cut all of my pieces first, so that I just have to assemble the cards.

Vacation Flower Top Pens

Hi Stampers,

My family is still on our mini vacation, and I had a few minutes to crank out some Flower Top Pens. Click HERE for instructions on how to make your own. They are very simple to create and only take a little Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used the Pink Flamingo DSP because that's all I had in Indiana with me.
I just knew that would look great on my camper table. . . don't you just love my "vase" . . . a real vase is something I should put on my camper NEED list.

AND . . . I couldn't leave you without a couple of pictures from Indiana . . . today we went to the Beach . . . it was not what we expected at all. It was more like a pool in a lake with a sand bottom. I did NOT get into it, but Rocky and Blake got their feet wet.

Blake spent most of his time in the "water park" . . . he had so much fun!

We went for a 75 minute boat ride that was so much fun. . . they said the average house/lot sells for $400K!!! I should have taken pictures of the houses . . . . some were big and somme where not. Here's a picture of Blake taking a short rest. . . I just love it when he wants to cuddle.

AND . . . I'll leave you today with a picture of my guys. They both had so much fun. Rocky rode all of the roller coasters while Blake enjoyed his time in kiddie land and we all had a blast on the log ride.

Thanks for stopping by!
