Bear Bookmark

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you one of the projects stampers get to make at the Mom and me Class this afternoon.

This bookmark uses the stamp sets Seal Of Pawthenticity and Lovely Letters Alphabet.  Of course I had to use the new punch from the Occasions mini catalog, and the Scallop Circle and 1-3/8" Circle Punch.  Since some of the ladies have boys and some have girls I'm given them a color option. . . this is the pink option.

And speaking of boys  . . . here's a picture of mine from last night.  Blake plays bowling on the Wii a lot, so we thought Blake would like to try the real thing.

I like the show 18 kids and counting and one time I saw them bowling with a bowling ramp lucky for us the bowling lane had one of them for Blake to try . . . the ball got down the lane much faster than it would have without it.

Thanks for stopping today, and I look forward to seeing some of you today in class.

Happy Stamping!

Vintage Labels

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to show you a very simple card I made using the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Vintage Labels.

First I took my Very Vanilla card stock and ran it through my Big Shot using the new Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Then I mounted it onto Elegant Eggplant.  The Very Vanilla card stock is actually 4 x 10-1/2" and it was folded in half. . . meaning that's what you'll open.  The piece of Elegant Eggplant is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.

Then I took a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock and attached it to the card.  The Scallop Circle was punched out using the punch after I stamped the images from the Vintage Labels.  I used the 1" Circle punch to punch Best Wishes out of Very Vanilla card stock and attached it with a Stampin' Dimensional.

To finish the card off I used the matching 1/4" Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain Ribbon and attached it with a mini glue dot.

Once I decided on the color of this card it took no time at all to stamp and assemble.

If you have questions, please ask!

Happy Stamping!

p.s.  This is also a card we'll be doing at the Well make and take class on Saturday, February 6th.  I wanted to have a simple card, because I think we'll make a pop up cake card too . . .  Get Excited!!!

Remember you can RSVP for the make and take until 2/4.  Cost is $20.

Dying Accent and Elements Fleurettes

Hi Stampers,

First I'd like to remind you about the Mom and Me make and take class. It's scheduled for THIS Sunday starting at 2pm. Cost is $15.   (Please note you do not have to bring a child to attend this class.)

The next make and take class at The Well in Monmouth is Saturday, February 6th starting at 10am. Please RSVP by 2/4 so I have time to cut card stock! Cost for this make and take class is $20 and you stamp 8 cards and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages. We are going to be using a lot of the new Sale-a-bration products as well as items from the Occasions mini catalog, which includes Stampin' Up! new Clear-Mount Stamps!!!

**Card Club Information**

New card clubs are forming NOW and start the 2nd week of March. Space is limited to 10 in each club so RSVP today to save your spot. (Please note Tuesday club is almost full.)

Card clubs run for 10 months (March-December) so that each person gets to receive hostess benefits. Each month you purchase a minimum of $15 (retail) for yourself out of beautiful catalogs that you’ll receive from me FREE with your membership. If unable to attend due to vacation, illness or any reason, you are asked to call or e-mail me prior to the scheduled date, to place your order.

Each month you are able to attend you'll stamp 5 cards and at the end of the 10 months you will have made 50 fabulous cards, for free if you made it to each club meeting. You must attend card club to receive the cards. They are considered a bonus in addition to the hostess benefits you’ll receive as a club member. I ask that you don’t have another club member make them for you, because stamping more than one of each card always takes a little longer and I have found people are waiting on projects to be finished, which makes the night longer for all.

Members will be designated hostess-of-the month for one month. The hostess will bring simple snack to share "her" month and she will receive all of the hostess benefits that month. Including hostess only stamp sets and free merchandise!

If you have a friend or a family member you’d like to invite to join the Club with you, she will be warmly welcomed. Space is limited, so let me know as soon as possible.

Being part of a Card Club is a very nice way to make a NEW CIRCLE OF FRIENDS. And it’s fun too!!!

I almost forgot the most important part. . . the clubs will be held the 2nd Tuesday and 2nd Wednesday of each month starting at 6:30pm.

If you have any questions about club, or if you're ready to sign up give me a call (309) 221-9288 or send me an e-mail (georgia@mustainlaw.com).

I hope to hear from you soon!

Oh . . I almost forgot . . . for today's share I have a video for you to watch.

Butterfly Coaster

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a coaster that was given to me by Julie, who is my up-up line.  I'm actually 5 levels below her, but I just like to use two ups. :o)

For this project Julie got one of those coasters that you can slide a picture in the back. . . then using Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry she made this wonderful "place card" for me when I went to her house to stamp.  This is how we found our spots she had set up for us.  Thanks Julie!

Remember there is still time to book your Sale-a-bration workshop . . . I have lots of the new products to share with you.  Call (221-9288) or e-mail (georgia@mustainlaw.com) me today!

A Beautiful Thing

Hi Stampers,

It's been a very long time since I've pulled out the stamp set, A Beautiful Thing, and I wanted to make sure I shared my card sample with you.  I wanted a simple card so I started by stamping off on the bottom 1/2 of the Tempting Turquoise.  Then with "full strength" ink I stamped the saying on the bottom of the card.

Using my Stamp-a-ma-jig I made the flower for the center of the card.  It was cut out by hand and then attached with a Stampin' Dimensional to the strip of Cameo Coral that was ran through my paper crimper.

Stamp Set: A Beautiful Thing
Card Stock: Cameo Coral, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White
Ink: Cameo Coral and Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Paper Crimper and Stampin’ Dimensionals

This is one of the cards I designed for card club.  And speaking of card clubs, NEW CLUBS start in March and I'd love for you to be a part of them.

Take your choice from the 2nd Tuesday or 2nd Wednesday of the month and then for 10 months you'll get to stamp 5 cards for FREE each time you are able to attend club.  Your only obligation for card club is to make a $15 purchase in merchandise each month and one month you'll bring a refreshment and also receive hostess benefits.

You can sign up by calling me (309) 343-9356 or e-mail me at georgia@mustainlaw.com.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Yesterday we talked about the January 31st Mom and Me class. . . and today I'd like to talk about the Saturday, February 6th Make and Take class at The Well in Monmouth.  This class starts at 10am.  I LOVE having make and takes in Monmouth at the Well, because I love having the chance to visit with stampers over lunch.  The well has a great cheeseburger, and anyone who attends regularly knows what I always have for lunch. :o)

Today I'd like to share with you the first card you will get to stamp at the Well.  Actually you'll get to stamp 2 of these cards as you stamp a total of 8 cards (2 of 4 designs) and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages.

Mom and Me Scrapbook Page.

Hi Stampers,

Before I start today's post I wanted to let you know I had a double post yesterday . . . . make sure to check out both post below incase you came before the second post was up.  Thanks!

OK . . . now onto today's post. . . . I am very excited to share with you, because yesterday I had time to make the 12x12 scrapbook page that attendees of the Sunday, January 31st Mom and Me class get to make.  Since it's a mom and me class I wanted to keep the layout easy.

I'm not 100% sure I like where the Real Red corduroy buttons is placed, and I'm anxious to see where the Mom and Me teams place their buttons. :o)

Keeping with prior Mom and Me classes we use the Big Shot and Build a Bear on some of our projects.  You can view the first project for this class HERE.

The Mom and Me class is Scheduled for Sunday, January 31st starting at 2pm at my home in Galesburg. Cost for this class is $15 and you'll need to bring scissors and your choice of adhesive. Since we are using the build-a-bear dies I suggest also bringing a liquid adhesive like the Tombo Multi Purpose adhesive. If you don't have any of this glue let me know and I may have an extra one you can purchase. :o)

Space is limited, so RSVP today!

Card Purse

Hi Stampers,

It's Tuesday, but I just know it's going to feel like a Monday ALL DAY LONG!!!  You see I had yesterday off because of the holiday, and it just happened to work out perfect.  Sunday night, while I was doing a Stampin' Up! workshop an hour away from Galesburg, my son feel and busted his top two teeth. :o(

Yesterday we had be at the Oral Surgeon at 8am to have them removed. :o(  They took an x-ray prior to removing his teeth, and both of the roots had been snapped off.  Blake is doing well right now and looks very cute missing his two teeth, but I worry how this is going to effect him in the future.

Card clubs ladies - when you come tonight (or tomorrow night) make sure to ask Blake to simile for you.  It's too cute.

OK now that I have shared my latest news with you I'd like to share with you a couple of purses that I made two of my Sale-a-bration hostesses.  If you'd like to book a Sale-a-bration workshop with me, I'd love to make a card purse for you too!

This first card purse was made for Elizabeth who was my hostess on Sunday night.  I forgot to take a picture of it after I by her initials on it, but if you click HERE you can see what it would look like with initials.

And this next one is for Tianna.  Since Tianna is getting married I decided to put her whole name and not just initials. . . since they will be changing soon.  Tianna is going to be over for card club this week, and I can't wait to share it with her, but she won't actually get to keep it until her workshop. :o)

Thanks for stopping by!

FYI - Tuesday's club is TONIGHT and Wednesday's is TOMORROW!

Upsy Daisy

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd love to share with you a card we made at Elizabeth's workshop last night.  I love the colors in it as it uses Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry. . . oh and a little Whisper White.

The stamp set used is Upsy Daisy. (111710 $18.95)  This stamp set, with its variety of greetings and classic daisy silhouette image, is an excellent gift for the daisy connoisseur. It’s versatile enough to create multiple adorable cards and lends itself beautifully to all kinds of decorative possibilities.

And you can see I used the eyelet boarder punch along the Whisper White card stock. . . I thought it went well with the polka-dot ribbon.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today!

Vintage Labels - SAB set!

Hi Stampers,

Today I have another card to share with you that I made with friends a few weeks ago.   Are you thinking how many projects did you get to make???  Well I think there was 8 total. :o)

This card uses the Vintage Labels stamp set, which is a Sale-a-bration stamp set.  The best thing about it being a Sale-a-bration stamp set is that it's FREE with a $50 purchase.  Remember you can shop online 24/7 at http://www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net/

Other supplies used are: Old Olive card stock, Pumpkin Pie card stock & classic ink pad, Whisper White card stock and Sweet Pea designer series paper.  Of course I used various circle punches and my Scallop Circle punch to punch the card stock and DSP.

The Happy Birthday is also from the Vintage Labels stamp set and if you look close you can see the Pumpkin Pie card stock was stamped then punched out using the Scallop Circle Punch.  After I stamped Happy Birthday on the Whisper White card stock I used a Stampin' Dimensional to "pop" it up.  The 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon was attached using a glue dot, and the Whisper White card stock was ran through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Well Scripted . . . Again

Hi Stampers,

Today's project I got to make with friends a couple of weekends ago. . . it uses the new stamp set Well Scripted.  As you can see from the picture below you can get this stamp set in Wood-Mount or Clear-Mount.  There is about a $5 difference between the two stamp sets, so if you decided to switch over to the Clear-Mount Blocks your stamping dollars will stretch more!!

I've covered candy bars many times before, but never like this.  Thanks for the great idea Julie!

For this project we used the Well Scripted stamp set.  Look close under the ribbon, because you can see the Whisper White card stock sticking out just a little bit, and I used my eyelet boarder punch to make a pretty edge.

The designer series paper is from the Sweet Pea Paper Stack.  Remember you can purchase this pack for only $24.95 and receive 48 sheets of 12x12 double-sided paper.  The brad is new, of course!  It's the 1/4" Chocolate Chip Sending Love Epoxy Brads.  You can view this and more brads on page 13 of the Occasions Mini catalog.

The bird is a PUNCH!  It's the Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch (117191 $15.95)  And remember that all of the new punches have a new punch style, which offers you added precision as you punch - giving you more intricate cuts!  The punch's larger handle surface gives you the leverage you need to punch with ease.  Also with it's sleek style, you can lock it shut, stand it on end, or lay it flat for easy, space-saving storage.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Mini Milk Carton

Hi Stampers,

Today I've got a special 3D project to share with you that I made at a friends house last weekend.  It uses the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Milk Carton Die, which can be found on page 23 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Now the other side.

The project shown above also used Whisper White Craft Ink, Sweet Pea Stitched Felt and the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Vintage Labels.  The clear window was created by using the 1" circle punch and a small piece of the window sheet.

Fill this cute milk carton with a tasty treat! This new size Bigz™ L die measures 6" x 8-3/4" and can cut through paper, card stock, window sheets, and vellum to create boxes. Use this die with standard or extended cutting pads (IB&C 194). For best results, use with premium or extended crease pad (IB&C 194).

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Monday!

Mom and Me Class!!!

Hi Stampers!

I am very excited today to show you the first project that you will get to make at the next Mom and Me Class.  At my last class I asked the girls what project they liked best and they all said the Build-a-Bear framed art, so I knew the first project I wanted to create for this class was just that. . . only with a Valentine theme.

For this project I used my Big Shot and the Stampin' Up! Bear Bigz Die, Beary Lovely Sizzlits Die and Beary Essentials Bigz Die. Colors used are Whisper White, Creamy Carmel, Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink and Real Red.  The Designer Paper is new from the Occasions Mini catalog and is called: Sending Love Specialty.  I also used my heart punch and a little stripped real red ribbon.

This Mom and Me class is Scheduled for Sunday, January 31st starting at 2pm at my home in Galesburg.

Sweet Pea Stitched Felt

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you one of the make and take projects I got to make last Saturday.  I LOVE it when I don't have to come up with the ideas or cut the card stock and I can just stamp and assemble them!

This card uses the new Sweet Pea Stitched Felt, which you'll find on page 32 of the Occasions Mini catalog.  I got my catalog in the mail this week, so if you're on my mailing list you should have gotten yours too.  If you don't get it by January 15th let me know and I'll have Stampin' Up! send you another catalog.

This card also uses a unique design.  You start with a normal card base (5-1/2 x 8-1/2) then you measure in 2" and cut from the 1" mark to the 6-1/4" mark.  Then turn and score it a few times.  After stamping and applying the layers like the Designer paper from the Sweet Pea pack you get this:

The picture is of my up-up line's daughter Kate.  She had pictures there if we wanted to add one right away, and of course I wanted too.

I forgot to mention that the stamp set used is Tiny Tags and the punch is a new one called Medium Jewelry tag.  Both of those items can be found in the Occasions Mini catalog on page 11 and 28.

Also did I mention that ALL of the stamp sets in the Occasions Mini catalog and Sale-a-bration catalog can be ordered as wood mounted or Clear-Mount.  If you order them as the Clear-Mount make sure to get some Clear-Mount Blocks too so you can use them right away.  You can find the Clear-Mount Blocks on page 6 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Before I go I wanted to share what SU wrote about the NEW Clear Mount Stamps.

Clear-Mount Stamps . . . now YOU have a choice!
Enjoy the same high-quality rubber and foam you've grown to love on our wood-mount stamps in a new clear-mount stamp option!  New to stamping?  Need to save on storage space?  want to mix and mate your images on any clear block?  Our repositionable clear-mount stamps offer you an ideal solution.  Like our wood-mount stamps, clear-mount stamps are also die-cut, which makes it easy to start stamping right away.  And an optional label makes it easy to locate your stamps and also helps you easily position the rubber on your clear blocks.

Each of your clear-mount stamp sets comes in a handy storage case about the size of a typical DVD case - which makes storing stamps in your existing shelves a cinch!  Case front displays an insert with all stamp images at 100%.  Spine shows thumbnail images of all stamps, making it easy to find the stamp set you're looking for!

Georgia's 2010 Calendar

Hi Stampers,

I am so excited to share with you today my 2010 calendar that I decorated using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio.  It was very easy to created the labels to use in my calendar.

First I'll show you a picture of the labels and calendar front I made and printed out on Whisper White card stock.

I used the Designer Label Punch to punch out the months of the year and then folded them in half.  They were attached to the calendar with a staple.  The colors I chose to use was Rose Red and Whisper White.  The butterfly was also done in Whisper White, but I took the Opacity down to 50% to make the Month of the year stick out better.

And now I'd like to share with you a picture of my calendar put together. . . . are you ready? :o)

I would be very excited to show you this calendar in person when we book your Sale-a-bration workshop. :o)

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT Sunday!
