Build-a-Bear Big Shot Dies!!!

Hi Stampers,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. . . . mine was full of family, friends, camping and parties!

Blake's friend Brandon's 4th b-day party was on Saturday, my niece Makenna's 3rd b-day party was Sunday and to top it off we were camping all weekend with Friends. . . it was GREAT and actually relaxing.

The first picture I'd like to share with you is of Makenna when she saw her birthday card. Lucky for me I really think I captured the moment. . . what do you think?

She really like it when the cake popped out!

The next picture is of Tony, Emily and Blake at the campground. They were so good with Blake and answered most of his questions. However, the 1st question Blake asked them was when they were going to get a boy. I'm thinking Blake wanted someone to play with. :o)

OK . . . as promised I did have time to make up some Build-a-Bears and they are so cute!!! I wish I had more time to play . . . and create!

The first picture is just of the bears. . . don't they look cute! On the left is Chocolate Chip and Creamy Carmel is on the right.

The next picture is of little Blake using the big shot to make his own Build-a-Bear and YES it must help to stick out your tonge when you crank it!

Blake decided to make a boy witch after seeing my girl witch. Blake cut out the pieces and then we both helped glue it together.

Since we are on the Halloween theme you'll LOVE the next bear. . . AND this bear even made it onto a CARD!!! As I was on really limited supplies not many bear made it onto cards. . . yet!

I was also thinking these Halloween Themed bears would look AWESOME on a scrapbook page. . . what do you think?

The other dies I got made the Bear into Santa and Mrs. Clause. . . first I'll show you Santa.

The Build-a-Bear looks GREAT in red!

Next we have Mrs. Clause. . . and she actually made it onto a card!
After I made the holiday bears that are shown in the mini catalog I decided to make up my own themed bear. . . so I made a "cheerleader".

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed my weekend work. If you would like to see these bears in person, please sign up for the make and take class which is this Saturday at The Well in Monmouth starting at 10am. Cost is $20 and you'll be stamping 8 cards and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages. . . . register by Thursday so I have time to cut supplies.

Have a GREAT Monday!

Criss Cross Card

Hi Stampers,

First I need to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my big sister, Carmen. I hope your day is GREAT!

With that said, I am super excited to share with you today a Criss Cross Card. I used the stamp set Fifth Avenue Floral. I have been wanting to make a Criss Cross card and just haven't found the time until now!

Using my Round Tab punch I thought it would be a nice way to "grab" the insert out of the criss cross part. The base of this card is Melon Mambo and Whisper White, which was stamped a bunch of times. . . it reminds me of DSP don't you think? The insert is Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White. . . also stamped. :o)

I added a filigree brad in the middle of the card and if you look close on the Round Tab and the bottom left corner of the card "base" you'll see I stamped and cut out a flowers.

The next picture is of the card closed! most people have the insert turned the other way, but when I did that with my card it was WAY to busy! So by flipping the insert around it "calmed down" a little!

SO . . . How would you like to make this Criss Cross Card??? We will be making this card at my next Make and Take Class, which is Saturday, September 5th at The Well in Monmouth! Class starts at 10 am.

If you'd like to attend please RSVP by Thursday so that I can cut card stock.

Cost is $20 and you'll need to bring your scissors and choice of adhesive. We will be making a total of 8 cards (2 of 4 designs) and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages.
I hope to hear from you soon!

p.s. Just a reminder that TOMORROW is the final day to join Stampin' Up! for ONLY $85. Let me know ASAP if you have questions and/or would like to join!

Bear - Punch Card

Hi Stampers,

This weekend my family is camping again. . . . when we were loading up the blazer yesterday at lunch Rocky actually told me that the stamping stuff might have to stay home. (Gasp!) I told him it was not like I was taking my Big Shot and that I would hold it on my lap if I had to. . . does he not realize that I have things to do.

Well . . . little does he know when we come back to town today I'm taking my Big Shot back with me AND . . . my new Build-a-Bear Bigz Dies to play with. :o) I'm so excited!

Since I don't have any Buid-a-Bears to share with you today I would like to share another bear with you that requires NO STAMPING!!! Sometimes it's nice not to break out the stampin mist and stamp scrub but still be creative!

At convention I got a swap that was just a cute bear's head. I decided to put in onto some Whisper White card stock and let my club members make him this month.

Cute . . isn't he?

Card Stock: Creamy Carmel, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White

Accessories: White Gel Pen, Basic Brown Marker, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Small Oval Punch, ½" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Big Shot and Standard Cutting Pads

Thanks for stopping by today and check back tomorrow for another card club members got to make. MONDAY I hope to have Build-a-bear samples!

Have a GREAT weekend!

Hello Again

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made using the stamp set Hello Again. It also used the Retro Remix wheel.

Colors used are: Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White. You could very easily step this card up by adding ribbon and glitter.

Sorry for the short post today, but our family is camping again this weekend. . . we are hoping for nice weather and we have a million things to do before we head out.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

1st Halloween Card of 2009

Hi Stampers,

Today I'd like to share with you the first Halloween Card I have made this year. I am kicking around the idea of making it at the Well in September. . . for those of you who usually attend The Well make and takes (or are coming to September's M&T for the first time) what do you think??? Should we make this card, and if so should we make it once or twice?

For this card the Happy Halloween came from the All Holidays stamp set (114916 $34.95) and the ghost is a single stamp called Little Boo (115558 $6.95). Card Stock used was: Basic Black, Old Olive, Only Orange and Whisper White. Ink used was: Versamark and Basic Black. I also used the new Halloween DSP called Cast-A-Spell and 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.

Punches used were the Scallop Edge, Scallop Circle, 1-3/8" Circle and 1-1/4" Circle.

Wondering how in the world I did the ghost??? Well let me share with you. :o) For this card I used the Faux Metal technique. You can view a complete tutorial HERE on SCS.

Basically you emboss the Whisper White card stock 3 times. . . each time you put the versamark on the card stock completely covering it and then heat. When you get the 3rd layer on you take your stamp and ink it with Versamark and then press it onto your embossed piece of card stock. After it cooled I took my 1-1/4" circle punch and punched it out.

If you have any questions about this technique and/or if you'd like to register for the Sat. September make and take at the well don't hesitate to get a hold of me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Georgia

BTW - There are only a few days remaining to get the mini starter kit and join the Stampin' Up! family and my glitterbees family for only $85! With the mini starter kit you get over $80 in merchandise and you also get business supplies.

With this great deal you can't go wrong! Call me at 309/221-9288 if you'd like more information!

Build-a-Bear Part 3

Hi Stampers!

Today I would like to share with you a few pictures I took at Convention of the Build-a-Bear dies, which you use with your Big Shot! I just check the UPS tracking and mine will get here the end of this week!!! I am so excited. . . It would be really nice if they came before we left for our camping trip . . then I could share samples with you on Monday. :o)

I think the framed art, shown above, would look perfect in a little girls room!

This little guy looks like he is ready to be back at school.

At convention they even put magnetic on the back of their clothes so that your children could dress them up!

What a prefect bag for a Birthday Party!

I think I'll have to put one of these on a Trick or Treat bag for Blake this year!

And again with the magnetic on the back of the bears. . . they would look very cute on my fridge. :o)

Thanks for stopping by today!

If you have questions, please ask!

Build-a-Bear - Part 2

Hi Stampers!

First I'd like to share with you a picture I snapped of my two guys fishing. . . . . while they didn't catch anything they had lots of fun!

And now a picture of our home away from home. . . our camper. . . . notice any decor elements on the camper???

Let's just say . . . . Life is Good! :o)

If you look at the window to the left of the camper door you will see the decor element: Life is Good. . . since it was hard to see from this distance I took a closeup of the Decor Element.

OK . . one more picture and then it's time for more bear cards. . . . I wanted to share with you my stamping station. Can you believe this was all of the supplies I got to take with me! I would have LOVED to have my Big Shot, but wasn't able to talk Rocky into it being necessary for camping. :o)

This first card uses some in colors: Melon Mambo and Crush Curry. If you look close you can see the balloon is raised with a stampin dimensional.

The next card could have benefited from a paper piercer, but with limited supplies we got no holes. However, that doesn't mean I can't add them now that I'm home. :o)

Now for these last two cards I broke out another stamp set, Season of Friendship. I was inspired by "thescrapmaster"on SCS when she used the two stamp sets together. You can view her card HERE.

So what do you think of the Build-a-Bear cards??? Are you ready to have a Build-a-bear workshop??? If so, just drop me a line or give me a call and we can pick a date.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Build-a-Bear!!!

Hi Stampers!

Today it's a Build-a-Bear day, because I'm sharing some samples of the new Build-a-Bear product line with you. . . . . BEFORE I do I'd wanted to take a minute to tell you that Stampin' Up! has an awesome hostess Promotion starting next Tuesday, September 1st!

When you have a workshop with $250 or more than you can pick any one item from the Holiday Mini Catalog for only $10, excluding the My Digital Studio software. When the My Digital Studio software is released this fall with a workshop of $400 or more you can get it for 1/2 OFF!!!

Why am I telling you this??? Well of course I know lots of people will want to have workshops to take advantage of this awesome promotion, and I wanted to give you sometime to look at your calendar to see when you'd like to have a workshop. . . . SINCE I'm getting the Build-a-Bear Bigz Dies for the Big Shot you can even choose to have a Build-a-Bear Workshop. . . . . Get Excited!!!

OK . . . I know you're saying enough commercials show me the samples already . . . right? :o)

This first sample is from the Stampin' Up! website! I just love how their photographers can capture the images and their samples are awesome too!

Now my weekend work!!! OK . . I can't really say it's work, because stamping is so much fun! Remember you only have until August 31st (next Monday) to JOIN Stampin' Up! for only $85!!! Make sure to drop me a line if you'd like an information packet.

These cards were made using the Beary Best Friends stamp set ($18.95) which is Set of 6 line art images perfect for coloring. Boy bear and girl bear hold different items for various occasions (balloon, flower, gift bag, party hat).

And the Beary Nice Wishes stamp set (16.95) which is set of 6 sentiments. Both stamp sets can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog available September 1st. If you're on my mailing list I've paid to have Stampin' Up! mail a copy of the mini to you. If you do not get your copy by September 4th call or e-mail me and I will make sure one find it's way into your eager hands. :o)

I actually had time to stamp 9 cards so I'll share some with you today and the rest tomorrow. :o) Because Rocky wouldn't let me bring my whole stamp room I had limited supplies. . . . I would have LOVED to have some Chocolate Chip card stock and many more embellishments!

This is the first card I made. . . the bear was stamped on watercolor card stock and then I used my ink pads and aqua painter to watercolor.

The next card is a "fun fold" . . . it reminds me of a barn door!

The next card uses Green Galore and Tempting Turquoise.

I used the masking technique to mask the balloons on this next card.

I have another "fun fold" card for you . . . it's a Z fold card. I used my markers to color the bear on this card. . . I think I like the bear better with a lighter colored nose.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to check back tomorrow for more bear cards and also a little Decor Elements . . . I decorated my camper. :o)

As I mention yesterday my family is gone camping this weekend, but fear not! I do have a card to share with you. This is another card stampers got/get to make at card clubs this month. It uses the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly!

Colors used are Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango and Whisper White. I love how simple this card is, but you could really step it up by adding some embellishments!

Thoughts & Prayers

Hi Stampers,

I hope you all have wonderful plans for the weekend. My family will be camping this weekend, and I'm afraid the campground doesn't have Internet. :o( Oh Well. . it will do me good to be Internet free for awhile. :o)

Today I'd like to share with you a card stampers made/will make at Card Club this month. It uses one of my favorite stamp sets, Thoughts & Prayers.

Colors Used are: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede. . . of course the Chocolate Chips was cut out using the Big Shot and Top Note die.

The piece of card stock at the bottom of the card was ran through the crimper twice to get the fun pattern and then sponged.

The card was finished by using the Crop-a-Dile and Jumbo Pewter Brad.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Convention "Place Mat"

Hi Stampers!

Today I'd like to share with you a picture I took at Convention. This was one of the many projects other Stampin' Up! demonstrators sent to Stampin' Up!

If you look at the "place mat" you'll see it's just Designer Series Paper (DSP) rolled. I'm guessing that the DSP is attached to a base. . . maybe cardboard. If you want to make your own place mat you could even use the piece of cardboard that came in your package of DSP.

I have been very busy going through all of the pictures I took at convention. . . . I'm not sure how many pictures I took, but I have tons of GREAT ideas to use at upcoming events!

The next event I have scheduled is my 1st Saturday of the month Make and Take class at The Well in Monmouth. Saturday, September 5th starting at 10am. Cost is $20 and you'll stamp 8 cards and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages. Please RSVP by 9/4 so that I can cut supplies.

Happy Stamping!

p.s. My family is camping this weekend, so I'm thinking I'll be away from my computer ALL WEEKEND!!! If you need me you can reach me on my cell.

The Under $10 stamps make perfect gifts. You might want to consider purchasing a few of these to have on hand so when you realize you need a quick gift you have one. :o)

Inspired by Nature!

Hi Stampers,

So yesterday Rocky took Blake to his first baseball game. They had so much fun, but of course Rocky forgot to take a camera so I could scrapbook the memories. Blake came home with a foam finger and a baseball so I guess I can get his picture with those. :o)

Today I'd like to share with you a card using the Inspired by Nature stamp set. I just can't get enough of the new In Colors. Here I used the Rich Razzleberry.

Using my markers I colored right onto the stamp and then stamped onto my Whisper White Card Stock. Of course I thought this card needed a butterfly "flying" so I got out my new Butterfly punch and made one.

You could really ad to this card using dazzling diamonds and crystal effects!

Quick reminder that Wednesday card club meets tonight at 6:30pm. There is still 2 spots open if you'd like to join in the fun please let me know.

Also the next Make and Take will be in Monmouth (Saturday, September 5th) at The Well starting at 10am. Cost is $20 and we'll make 8 cards and 4 12x12 scrapbook pages. As I get the projects done I'll post pictures. You can RSVP anytime up to 9/3 so I have time to cut the card stock.

Have a GREAT Wednesday!!!
