Fifth Avenue Floral Coaster Box

Hi Stampers!

First I would like to share with you a picture of Blake. When we got home yesterday it was raining (again) and Blake used my new Stampin' Up! umbrella, which matches the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set.

Below is a close up of the images on the umbrella.

Now that you've all seen my awesome umbrella I want to show you a 3D item you can make on your own using the Fifth Avenue Floral Stamp Set (113734 $24.95). I had a couple minutes last night to play and I made a new coaster box to hold scissors and adhesive for my clubs and make and take classes.

Speaking of card clubs. . . have you saved your spot yet??? I still have room in my 3rd Tuesday of the month and 3rd Wednesday of the month clubs. Let me know if you'd like more information and/or to join!

OK . . back to my coaster box. At first I was going to use the Urban Oasis Designer Paper, and then I decided just to stamp onto Whisper White card stock using Baja Breeze, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss classic ink pads. I use Baja Breeze Ribbon to tie the 5 coasters together.

If you haven't seen how to make a coaster box before make sure to watch the video below!

These boxes are so easy to make and make wonderful gifts. You could fill a cello bag with candy and give one to your mother for mother's day! And speaking of mother's day don't forget to pick up a Stampin' Up! gift certificate for your mother or let you special someone(s) know that they can get you a Stampin' Up! gift certificate from me! If you have any questions, please ask!

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Sense of Time

Hi Stampers!

Last weekend I had the chance to participate in a card swap. I love swapping ideas with other demonstrators, because they usually use stamp sets I don't have yet. Plus they give me inspiration!

Today I would like to share with you a card I received in that card swap. I'm sorry the card didn't have a name on it, and I don't remember which one of the talented ladies I got it from. (If this is your card please leave a comment, so that I can give you proper credit.)

The Stamper used the stamp set Sense of Time (113804 $22.95) from the mini catalog and God's Beauty which is a level one hostess only stamp set. She did a great job and I just love the colors!

BTW - Make sure to stop by my blog tomorrow!!! I am posting the 5th Tart & Tangy project that you will be making at the May 14th Make and Take Class. Remember registration for this class ends May 5th!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

And don't you just love Stampin' Up!'s new Corduroy Buttons?

So Stampers . . . are you ready to schedule your own Total Hands On Workshop?

Tart & Tangy Thursday Class ~ Project 4

Hi Stampers,

I had high hopes of getting the last two projects for the Tart & Tangy class done last night, but I didn't. Rocky and I spent the evening at the Cottage Hospital ER with Blake. He has pneumonia again. :o( Poor guy. . this is the 2nd time in two months. We got home around 10pm and I was just worn out. . so I did my blog and went to bed. Below you will see the fourth project for the Tart & Tangy class. . . see yesterday's post for all of the details with regards to this class!

Project #4: 4x4 card

This card was so much fun to make. I cased it from the Stampin' Up! website and I just changed it a bit to work with the supplies I had on hand. The ribbon is from the Ribbon Originals Pigtails. Did you know I got these when they first came out in the catalog and this is one of the first projects I used them on? Boy I wish I had started sooner, because I'm gonna be sad when they retire in June. And Yes the ribbon will appear on the retired accessory list because they feature in colors. We will have new In Colors on July 1st.

Below you will find a picture of four of the five project you will be making at the Tart and Tangy make and take class. Make sure to register soon, because space is limited.

If you have questions, please ask!

Have a GREAT day!

Tart & Tangy Thursday Class

Hi Stampers!

I am very excited about today's post, because I have a special Tart & Tangy Thursday Class to offer you. What that means is with your $25 registration fee you get your very own Tart & Tangy stamp set (shown below).

The Tart & Tangy Class will be held on Thursday, May 14th at my home in Galesburg starting at 6:30pm. (If this day and time does not work well for you, please let me know. If there is enough interest I can offer it on another day or you can simple get a kit "to go" and stamp and assemble the projects at home.)

As I mention above cost is $25 and with that you will get your very own Tart & Tangy Stamp set to take home with you. I will also have 5 projects for you to make with your brand new stamp set. Since I will be ordering each person their very own Tart & Tangy stamp set I will need RSVPs by 5pm on May 5th.

Want to see what you'll be making with your new stamp set??? Well, last night I designed 3 of the 5 projects, so that is what I will be sharing with you today. :o) When I get the other 2 projects create I will post them.

Project #1: Card

Besides using the Tart & Tangy stamp set I used the Full of Life stamp set. Since we only have a few more months to get the current in colors I decided to use Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss for this card. Kiwi Kiss really makes the apple green. :o) I used a little DSP from the Urban Oasis pack and I had to use some of the Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon. Before I assembled the card I used my Eyelet Border Punch on the bottom edge of the Kiwi Kiss. Circle punches are 1-1/4 & 1-3/8.

Are you wondering how I got the stem brown? Well that was very easy. I inked the image with Kiwi Kiss ink and then I used a Blender Pen to remove the ink from the stem. Finally I used my Chocolate Chip maker and colored the stem!

Project #2: Bookmark

This bookmark is sure to brighten up any book you use it with. Whether it's the latest story you just hate to put down or you use it to save your favorite recipe it's sure to make you smile.

Using a designer label from the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware I can't wait to show you how to make this project on May 14th! Below is a close up . . I just love adding glitter to projects . . don't you?

Project #3: Scallop Circle Treat Bag

The third project is a cheerful scallop circle treat bag. Inside the cello bag are two cover chocolate mints. I think orange slices would look great in this bag too! However, I can't keep orange slices in my house, because I EAT THEM ALL! :o) You could also put non food items in the bag . . . the possibilities are endless.

Of course I used glitter on this project too. I really think it made the orange pop!

If you already have the Tart & Tangy stamp set you can still attend this class. Contact me for those details.

Remember you MUST register for this class by 5 pm on May 5th, so stamp sets can arrive in time.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Big Shot - STAMP Sign

Hi Stampers!

Today I would like to share with you a picture I took at Saturday's StampAttic's meeting. I'm not sure who made it, but I can't wait to make one for myself. It looks like they used the Serif Alphabet and the Scallop Circle die to create a stamp sign for their stamp room!
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Georgia
P.S. There is still room in my Tuesday and Wednesday Card Clubs. . . remember if you refer a friend to join (and she does) you will receive a FREE package of card stock $5.50 value.

Blake's Party & StampAttic's Meeting

Hi Stampers!

Yesterday was Blake's 3rd Birthday. Our day started at 7am with pancakes and presents. Then we opened and played with presents until I left about 20 til 9am for my StampAttic's meeting. I really hate missing StampAttic's meetings, because I always get so much wonderful information. Rocky and Blake had some wonderful father and son time. I am so lucky that Rocky is a total hands on dad.

Speaking of total hands on, how would you like to have a total hands on workshop??? You might be asking yourself what a total hands on workshop is. Well all of the projects I make you make! During the month of May when you host a workshop you and your guest get to make ALL of the projects. This will include 2 cards and 1 3D item. The cost to your and your friends is NOTHING!!! This is something I am offering ONLY in the month of May, so please call and/or e-mail me today to book your party. Weekends usually fill up fast, so don't wait. I look forward to hearing from you!

If you are one of the first 5 people to book your May workshop, and your sales are at least $300, you will receive an additional $10 in hostess bucks!!!

I learned many new things and got some wonderful pictures of samples that I just can't wait for you to see. But first, I would like to share with a picture of the birthday boy!

Next a picture of Blake's party napkins. For the party napkins I used the same stamp set I borrowed from my friend Christy and using Basic Black ink stamped directly onto the napkins. Very simple and easy and it saved me from spending the extra $$$ on the Mickey Mouse napkins. :o)

Now onto the Card Sample. My upline, Kathy, made this card as her card swap. It uses the stamp set, And Many Mower (113724 $27.95) which you can find on page 20 of your occasions mini catalog. REMEMBER when you purchase $40 in merchandise from the mini catalog you receive a item from the $10 and under page for FREE!

Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to hearing from you soon about your Total Hand On Workshop in May!

Happy Birthday Blake

Hi Stampers!

Today is my son's 3rd birthday . . . my has the time gone fast! Last night we went to Lake Story for a picnic and fishing. While we didn't catch anything it was still a fun night. Today Blake is having some one on one time with Daddy while I attend the StampAttic's meeting and tonight is Blake's family party.

First I would like to share a picture of my baby . . Charles Blake (aka Blake) was born at 5:18pm on April 18, 2006 (11 after my due date!). He was 9lbs 9 oz and 21-1/2" long. Needless to say we didn't need any "newborn" clothes.

Next here is a picture of Blake and I at the park last night. He still sits in my lap, just not a calm as in the beginning. :o)

For Blake's birthday party I make a Happy Birthday Blake banner using my Big Shot and Pennant Die. Also used was the Scallop Circle Bigz Die and Serif Essentials Bigz Die. I know the Serif Essentials are a big investment, but they are so worth it.

I wanted to use some bright colors, so I dug into my card stock supply and got out some in colors: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango. Other supplies used to create this banner are: Jumbo Eyelets, Crop-a-Dile, Ribbon and Tombo Multi Liquid Glue.

I'm sure it's hard to see the detail in the pictures, so here is a close up of the B in Birthday. You can see I used 2 Jumbo Eyelets (Pewter) on each pennant.

The Blake banner I did a little different, because I am going to hang it in Blake's room after the party. I only used the colors: Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss.

Here is a close-up of the B in Blake. You can see I used 3 jumbo eyelets on each pennant. Also used on the Blake banner was the Scallop Circle #2 Bigz die. I used it for the scallop circle on the end of the pennant.

AND . . . I wanted to make sure to send everyone home with a little something so I got out my new die the Pillow Box Bigz Die, which you will be seeing LOTS of it. This was the 1st project I had a chance to do with it, and I LOVE IT!!! Inside each one was a little bit of Blake's Easter Candy. . . it was either give it to my family or send it with my husband to his work. . if it stays at my house it gets eaten. . and we can't have that.

Thanks for stopping by today, and if you have any questions, please ask! BTW - I am thinking about offering another big shot club if anyone is interested please contact me. I will need to work out the price again, but basically it's a 4 month club where you pay 1/4 of the starter kit each month. The 4th month you will have your very own Big Shot. This is the best way to get the Big Shot without taking a huge hit to your stamping budget.

Have a GREAT day!

p.s. Those of you who have registered for the Scrapbooking event tomorrow I'll see you at 2pm!!!

On Your Birthday

Hi Stampers,

Today I would like to share a very simple card I created. It would be a perfect birthday party invitation . . . and speaking of a birthday party tomorrow is my baby's 3rd Birthday!!! These first 3 years go by so fast I can only imagine how those of you with Seniors in High School feel.

Last night Blake and I watched the DVD from his very 1st birthday party. . . Blake was full of so many cute questions, like can I talk and what am I doing. Tonight we are going to watch the DVD from his 2nd birthday party and tomorrow we will have his 3rd b-day party.

This is a fun tradition I have with Blake . . last year we watched his 1st b-day party the night before we had his 2nd b-day party. When Blake turns 18 I'm sure he will love having 17 nights home with his Mommy watching a different b-day movie each night. . in order that is. I just now he's gonna love me for that. . . since they are only 30 minute DVDs I think he'll have to manage. I wonder if he'll have friends over each night to watch them?

Ok . . enough talking . . here's the sample for today . . BTW . . it's a Georgia Original! :o)

Welcome Neighbor Card

Hello Stampers,

I am very excited about today's post, because I have a Georgia Original to share with you. I always get excited when I make something myself don't you? We have a new neighbor moving in on our block and I wanted to make a card to welcome her, so that's exactly what I did. What do you think? :o) I just love using Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point together. I'm gonna be so sad when these in colors are gone, but I can't wait to see what Stampin' Up! will come out with for the next 6 colors.

When I was looking at my stamp sets I didn't have any stamp sets that really welcomed a new neighbor. Stampin' Up! does have a stamp set in the catalog I just do not own it . . . yet. :o) I did get the Welcome from the Warm Words stamp set and the houses are from the Neighborhood Jumbo Wheel. I used the Eyelet Boarder Punch along the bottom of the Kiwi Kiss Card Stock and I used my Aqua Painters and ink pads to color the house. I finished the card by adding some Kiwi Kiss Ribbon around the top.

Very fun and fast to make. I think this card would also make a very cute "We've Moved" card to announce your new address.

**Card Club Update**

I wanted to let you know that there is still room to join the next session of card clubs that start next month! Currently I have spots open in my Tuesday & Wednesday groups. Oval All Card

Hi Stampers,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. Ours was great. Here are a few pictures of Blake hunting his eggs and with the goodies the Easter Bunny left at our house.

And NOW - Sample time!!! Today I would like to share with you a card I made using the new stamp set, Oval All. Of course I needed to use my new Scallop Oval Punch too, and I used some in colors. REMEMBER the current In Colors will only be around until June 30th, so you'll want to stock up and get the ink refills as well as card stock, designer paper, buttons, ribbons and more!

I had so much fun making this card. In Colors used are: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point and Baja Breeze. Accessories are: Silver Brads, Pacific Point Ribbon, Boho Blossom Punch, Big Shot & Cutting Pads, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Background #1 Texturz Plates. The designer paper used is Urban Oasis and the top layer of the butterfly is Velum.

Below is a close up what the Texturz Plates do. I'm told you can also mist your paper with water first to get a deeper impression.

Before I go I wanted to remind you about the next make and take class at The Well in Monmouth. Cost for this class is $25, because you will be getting a whole package of rub ons. We will be making a Gift Sack Scrapbook and a Top Note box. Make sure to register by THURSDAY, April 23rd so supplies can be ordered.

On Your Birthday - Scallop Oval

Happy Easter Stampers!!!

Yesterday morning my son, Blake, colored Easter Eggs. He had a lot of fun, and we even ate a few with our lunch yesterday. Below are a couple of picture of Blake and his eggs.

Below you'll see is were the "double dipping" began. . . doing just 1 dozen eggs is not enough. Blake decided to re-dip all of the eggs, and not in the same color. :o)

Here are Blake's eggs.

I'm glad you stopped by to take a peak into my Easter, now on with the card sample. I was needing a quick and fun birthday card and here is what I came up with:

Stamp Set: On Your Birthday

Card Stock: Regal Rose; Basic Black; Level 1 Print Pack (Hostess DSP)

Ink: Basic Black

Punches: Round Tab; Scallop Oval; Large Oval; Small Oval

Other Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals; White Gel Pen; Silver Brad; Valet (Ribbon Originals)

I also wanted to share a close up of the purse. The purse handles were done by first punching the small oval out of basic black card stock and then punching the large oval over it. This gives you a nice handle for your purse, which is a round tab punch folded in half. The Black is from the Ribbon Originals Valet set. I really need to get using these before the new catalog comes out and they are gone!

New Catalog starts July 1st. Remember ALL card club members get this catalog for FREE!!! Clubs are forming now, please let me know if you're interested.

Have a GREAT day!

Georgia
