Blaine's Graduation Party

Hi Stampers,

Today I would like to share with you a couple of banners my friend Cindy made for her son's graduation party. (Hi Cindy!)

Using the Big Shot and Pennant Bigz XL Die Cindy and her daughter, Amanda, cranked out card stock like pros. :o) They also used the Scallop Circle Bigz Die and Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Dies and as you can see from the two photos below they cut a lot of card stock. What a great way to spend time with your daughter! :o)

Each and every scallop circle and letter was adhered using Tombo Multi Purpose Adhesive. The pennants were tied with Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, while Card Stock used was Night of Navy and Whisper White.

"Congratulations Blaine" was on the front side of the house.

And "Way to Go Blaino" was out back until it rained and got moved inside.

Blaine is very active in sports, and his dad always yells "Way to Go Blaino" so it was a no brainier to have a banner that said that for Blaine's special day. :o)

Cindy and Amanda got very creative on the spacers between the words. Look closely and you will see that the white pennants have a star stamped in the middle.

GREAT JOB CINDY and THANKS for letting me share them on my blog today.

And THANKS to the rest of you for stopping by today!
Georgia

p.s. Remember to get your orders in before 5pm on Sunday to take advantage of my FREE SHIPPING promotion. . see yesterday's post for all of the details.

AND. . . . next Saturday, June 6th starting at 10am I have a make and Take Class at the Well in Monmouth. Cost is $20 and you'll be stamping 4 12x12 scrapbook pages and 8 cards. RSVP by 6/4 so I have time to cut supplies.

2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog

Hi Stampers!

I'm so excited. . . . Can you believe that the new catalog is coming soon!!! July 1st is the magic day! Catalogs have been preordered and are expected to arrive the end of June. If you are in one of my card clubs you will get your catalog for FREE, as soon as I get them. If you are not in a card club you can still get your catalog for FREE, just book a workshop for July or August. . . . or you can always purchase a catalog for $9.95.

If you don't want to wait until the catalog until the end of June/1st of July, there is another option to get your catalogs the first part of June. . . that's right STAMPERS. . you can be flipping through the new catalog within the next 2 weeks. Are you wondering how this is possible and what you need to do to achieve this? All you have to do is sign up with me to become a demonstrator. . . and until Sunday, May 31st you can join for only $75, when you purchase the Scrapbooking Starter Kit. Click HERE for more details and HERE to see what's in the starter kit!

Once you become a demonstrator you will receive visits from your own Mr. Brown. Above is my Mr. Brown. I have a Mrs. Brown too, but she is so fast I never have my camera out when she comes. The photo above was taking last summer and "Mr. Brown" is actual bringing me boxes of new catalogs. He was thrilled when I told him he would be on my blog. :o)

The Last Chance list (formerly know as the retirement list) will be released on June 1st!!! The way I understand it there will be 3 Last Chance Lists:

Last-chance stamp set list!
Last-chance accessories list!*
Last-chance Décor Elements list!

*Last-chance accessories list is updated daily. Items will be removed from ordering as they become unavailable, which means items on these lists will only be available while supplies last. SO . . if you have any accessories on your wish list that have In Colors in them you will want to purchase them ASAP.

Georgia ONLY Promotion! - Place a $40 order with me before 5pm on Sunday, May 31st you will receive FREE SHIPPING, which saves you 10%!!! What a great time to stock up on the soon to be retired accessories! Please note - that you must e-mail or call me with you order as I am unable to discount orders placed via my website. If you don't have a copy of the current catalog you can always "window shop" online by clicking HERE and then click SHOP NOW in the top right corner of the page. After you have your list picked out just shoot me an e-mail and I'll take care of the rest!

OK . . now it's sample time. At the April StampAttics meeting someone brought a stamp sign made using the Big Shot, Scallop Circle Bigz Die and Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Dies. I just knew I wanted to CASE (copy and share everything) it and finally had a chance. You can view her stamp sign HERE. (I'm sorry I don't know who made this sign. If you brought this sign to the StampAttics meeting send me an e-mail, so I can give proper credit.)

For my stamp sign I wanted to keep it simple, so I just used the Raspberry Tart Designer Paper (DSP), which is on sale this month. But before I ran it through my Big Shot I adhered it to some chipboard to make it thick.

I wanted to draw the pink out of the DSP, so I choice Rose Red Card Stock. Another reason for choosing Rose Red Card Stock was because I had Rose Red Double Stitched Ribbon on hand. :o)

This was so fun and easy to make. Using my multipurpose glue I put it together in a matter of minutes while watching a NCIS rerun with Rocky last night. It would be very easy to add embellishments like brads, buttons or more ribbon, but I wanted to KISS (Keep It Simple Stampers) this project. . . . so . . . DSP, card stock and ribbon is all I needed!

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to send me an order before 5pm on Sunday to take advantage of FREE SHIPPING!

I hope you have a very productive day!

Flower Fusion

Hi Stampers,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. . . I did. Mine weekend was spent camping with Rocky and Blake in Alpha, IL. It was so much fun but also a little stressful. This was our first camping outing of the year and only our 2nd ever camping trip with our new camper. We got most of the bugs worked out and are already looking forward to our next camping trip. So first a couple pictures from the weekend.

This first picture is of Rocky and Blake. Thank goodness Rocky got the "fake grass" to lay out in front of the camper. It was a very nice place for Blake to play.

The second picture if of me and Blake. Here we are making Taco Pie in the Dutch Oven. This is a camping favorite and we always make it when we go out.

The final picture is of Blake. He found a dirt pile not to far from the camper and then got it all over himself. Thank goodness the camper has a bath tub. :o)

OK on to stamping. . . today samples use Flower Fusion (1100720 $14.95). I love using these custom colored felt flowers and they will add an eclectic dimension to any of your projects. You get 130 pieces packaged in a fun tin.

Card club members got to use Flower Fusions on a card last month, but today I'm going to show you some altered paperclips I made last night.

The colors that come in the Flower Fusion are: Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red and Old Olive. There is also a Flower Fusion Too that has Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip.

As you can see there are lots of options on how to layer the Flower Fusion pieces.

Here is a close up of one of the paper clips. As you can see I used a clear Rhinestone Brad to hold the flowers together. The brad also is used to attach the flower to the paperclip.

Thanks for stopping by today!

6 X 6 Baby Girl Scrapbook

Hi Stampers,

Today I would like to share with you a 6x6 scrapbook "aka" brag book album I had the pleasure to make. For this album I used the Real Red Linen Ring Album (105387 $16.95) and the Rock-a-Bye Girl (112165 $19.95) Simply Scrappin Kit. The Simply Scrappin Kits are complete with self-adhesive dies cuts, patterned paper and card stock. I started by trimming the sheets with my paper cutter to create 6x6 inch pages.

The scrapbook comes with 10 page protectors. Since I knew I would make more than 20 pages I purchase a package of extra page protectors ($6.95 104521), which gave me an additional 20 page protectors with a possibility of 40 additional 6x6 pages.

As you can see scrapbooking is simple!!! I made this 42 page album with just one scrapbook kit. Of course I added a few embellishments like ribbon, jumbo eyelets, rhinestone brads and flower brads to dress up the pages, but even without them you can make an awesome scrapbook! Scrapbooks make wonderful gifts!

Remember May is National Scrapbooking Month, so make a goal to do an album or even a few pages before next Sunday!

Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Baby Onesie!

Hi Stampers!

Have you ever been invited to a baby shower only to find you have no baby stamps? If so, I have the PERFECT card for you today. This card would also make for a very cute baby shower invitation.

I have seen many variations of onesie. For this one I used Almost Amethyst Card Stock. First I cut it at 4-1/4 x 11 and folded it in half. Then I measured down from the top 1-1/2" and made a little mark. Then I measured in 1" from the first mark and made another mark. (connect these to marks with a strait line.)

Then I took my ruler and drew a line from the second mark all of the way down to the bottom corner. Do this on both sides and then cut on your lines.

Next using your 1-3/8" Circle Punch punch neck and leg holes in the onesie. Using the Scallop Circle Punch and 1-3/8" Circle Punch I punched Whisper White Card Stock to line the neck and leg holes.

I finished this card by applying a little bit of Whisper White Card Stock on the arm holes and the "snaps" on the bottom are Gold Brads.

Would you like to make this card? I still have room in my Tuesday Card Club that starts TONIGHT or my Wednesday Card Club that starts TOMORROW! Let me know ASAP if you'd like to join me.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a GREAT day!

Pun Fun

Happy Monday Stampers. . .

Tomorrow is the first session of the 3rd Tuesday of the month club. . . don't worry . . . there is still room if you'd like to join!

One of cards you get to make at card club this month is a quick and easy kid birthday card. I used the stamp set Pun Fun to whip out this 3 x 3 card.

For the colors I got out my color coach and found the color combination: Apricot Appeal, Cameo Coral and Bashful Blue. Other good colors to use could have been Certainly Celery or Lavender Lace.

I stamp the image in Basic Black Classic Ink and colored it in with my markers. For the corners of the Whisper White Card Stock I used my Tag Corner Punch.

Using the color coach and different color combinations this card could really change to suit the recipient.

Thanks again for stopping by today!

Matchbox Bigz XL Die

Hi Stampers,

Today I would like to share with you a project I made using the Big Shot and Matchbox Bigz XL Die. The Matchbox die is on page 16 of the Occasions Mini catalog and can only be purchased until at least June 30th. As with the stamp sets we never know which accessories will make their way into the new catalog.

My Up-Up Line Julie let me make this as a bonus project at the StampAttics' meeting in April. It was so very easy to make. All you have to do is fold on the score lines and a little adhesive and you're done! Besides using some of Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper I used gold brads and whisper white card stock.

As you can see the box just slides right in and out perfect place to hide a treasure.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to contact me ASAP if you have not joined a stamp club yet!

Happy Stamping!

Scallop Circle ~ Dress!

Hi Stampers,

I just want to let you know there is still time to join a stamp club that start this Tuesday & Wednesday. . . and I would like to share with you today one of the card we will be making. I have seen the cutest little dresses made from the Scallop Circle Bigz Die and I just knew I wanted to do one with the club ladies this month. As you know the Designer Series Paper (DSP) is buy 3 get 1 FREE until May 31st so this card fits perfect into that theme!

To start I used Whisper White card stock as the base of the card and along the bottom I used my Eyelet Border Punch. I added a little DSP from the Raspberry Tart DSP along the bottom to make the Eyelet Border pop out.

As I'm sure you can guess the dress is also from the Raspberry Tart DSP. To make the dress I used my Big Shot and the Scallop Circle Bigz Die. Then I just cut a little and it was done. Don't worry card club ladies I have a pattern for you to trace before you cut your dress.

I added a little of the Whisper White Satin Ribbon, which can be found in the occasions mini catalog and then topped it with a button from the Button Bouquet set.

The Happiness stamp is from the Warm Words stamp set and I used Kiwi Kiss and my large oval punch.

As you may notice I have been using a lot of the in colors as they are only around until June 30th! Make sure to stock up on anything with in colors in them because they WILL retire in June and once the retired accessory list comes out they go FAST!

Thanks for stopping by today, and I you have not joined a stamp club yet I hope to hear from you soon!

Have a GREAT weekend!

It's card club time!!!

Hello Ladies,

The next session of card club (at my home) starts NEXT WEEK and I need you help!!!

Neither Tuesday or Wednesday nights are full yet. I have been totally stressing about it and my mind is racing every night when I go to bed.

The only requirement is to purchase $15 a month, which breaks down to only $0.50 a day! At that price anyone can afford to have some fun.

Think you don't have the time. . it only takes 1-1/2 hours a month!!! Yep . . that's all for a night of fun with the ladies.

So . . . Would you like to earn hostess benefits, while stamping 5 cards a month and watching your supplies grow???
I hope the answer is YES and I hope to hear from you soon!

Georgia

P.S. ~ Join the 3rd Tuesday or 3rd Wednesday night card club before 5/18 and your name will go in a drawing for a FREE STAMP SET from the unmounted stamp sets I have on hand!!! AND REMEMBER - when you get a friend to join the club you both get a free package of card stock (5.50 value each).

A Card Club Testimonial

"I have always loved crafts, scrapbooking, etc. I had just moved into Georgia's neighborhood, and before I even had all the boxes out of the truck and into the house, this cheery, kind woman with her little boy, Blake, in the stroller, was welcoming me with a little gift! When I finally had a moment to sit down after moving everything in, I was very intrigued by Stampin' Up and what Georgia was offering me! I had never heard of this company up to this point, but it seemed to be right up my alley of love's! I have found so much relaxation, friendship, and fun since starting in Georgia's card clubs! Making 50 cards in ten months gives me such a great stock to have for every single occasion all year long! The cards, thankfully, are already designed for me, which is wonderful and time-saving; however, the pre-designed cards also start my creative juices flowing and the possibilities for other cards and other projects becomes endless! Card Club, with Georgia, has helped my card budget (I never go to the store for cards anymore), has helped my sanity, and has helped me get back into creating again! Thank you, Georgia and Stampin' Up, for opening a whole new wonderful world in crafting for me!" ~ Sarah Bainter

Big Shot Box Project #4

Hi Stampers.

I thought about saving this project and showing it to you later, but I didn't want to wait. This Big Shot Box will be perfect to make and have out for your 4th of July party. You could easily make two or three and use them to hold the silverware at your cookout.

Using my Big Shot and Top Note Bigz Die I cut two Whisper White, one Real Red and a corner of Brilliant Blue.

Then using my paper cuter I cut red strips and adhered them to the Whisper White Top Note cut out.

After adhering the Brilliant Blue in the corner I used the Small Star Punch and a Gold Brad, because every flag needs a star right?

Here's a side view so you can see the box between the Top Note cut outs.

So . . now that you've seen 4 Big Shot Box Project would you like to make them??? If there is enough interest I would love to offer a Big Shot Class where you could make all 4 of these projects for only $10. Leave a comment or send me an e-mail if you'd like me to offer a class.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Georgia

P.S. There is still room in the card clubs that start NEXT week. Please e-mail me ASAP to join!

Big Shot Box Project #3

Hi Stampers.

As promised I'm trying to take you to a warm place with Box #3. Can you Let's Go to the Beach?

For this project I used my Big Shot (of course), but I also used the Top Note Bigz Die and Scallop Circle Bigz Die. I cut two Top Note Dies from Bashful Blue and one from Creamy Carmel. I also cut the Box #2 die and using sticky strip attached it between the Bashful Blue Top Notes.

I tore the Creamy Carmel Top Note so that it looked like sand. Then I cut out a Scallop Circle from Green Galore, Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange and Real Red. Using my Yoyo Yellow scallop circle as the base I cut the others colors so that I had strips. After adhering them to the Yoyo Yellow I used my scissors and cut an umbrella shape and attached it to the Chocolate Chip card stock.

The scallop circle umbrella was challenge, but fun to make.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to stop back by tomorrow for the 4th Big Shot Box Project.

Big Shot Box Project #2

Hi Stampers!

First I just want to remind you that card club starts NEXT WEEK. . .save your spot today!!!

OK . . . Now after seeing the cut flower box I shared with you yesterday you are going to love the flower box I have to share with you today!

Using my Big Shot and the directions from the Stampin' Up! website I was able to make a "Sunflower".

For this project I used the Scallop Circle Bigz Die. I cut two scallops from So Saffron card stock and one from So Saffron DSP. Remember DSP is buy 3 get 1 free this month!!! I did use the Box #2 XL Bigz Die, but this time I taped the flap shut and cut the end off, so that I have a box that would stand the way I needed.

After I cut the DSP scallop circle I used my paper cutter and cut it in half. Then I made a mark on the middle of each half and started to cut each scallop in a triangle shape. I used a Stampin' Dimensional on the end of each scallop.

When you do this you don't have to worry about what the middle looks like, because you cover it. Here I used my 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" Circle Punches. The leaves were cut out using the Large Oval Punch and after folding them in half I ran them through my crimper. They too are attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today and if you've like these first two Big Shot Box Projects you'll love #3. . . let's just say I'm thinking of some place warm.

Have a GREAT Day!

Big Shot Box Project #1

Hi Stampers. . .

First I wanted to remind you that card clubs start NEXT WEEK! I still need about 3 more ladies to join each night for the clubs to work. If you sign up and get a friend to join you both will receive a free package of card stock ($5.50 value). Club letters will go out soon, so please watch you mail. For more information click HERE.

OK . . on to stamping. As I mention yesterday Rocky and Blake was out of the house on Saturday so I had time to stamp. Funny thing is I made 5 projects and 1 card and only stamped on the card. With everything else I just used my Big Shot.

On the Stampin' Up! website they share some Big Shot projects that were shared by a demo on the incentive trip. What she did was created Boxes using the Big Shot and dies for many occasions. The directions were online, so I just knew I wanted to give them a try. So . . . for the next 4 days I'm gonna show you a box each day. If you would like to see any of these in person, just let me know. It's often hard to get a good picture that does the project justice.

With Mother's Day being yesterday I just knew which one I wanted to show you first. It's a "flower pot". I used the Box #2 Bigz XL Die, Top Note Bigz Die, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and Birds & Blooms Sizzlits Dies to create this cute project.

This project would have made a perfect May Day gift, Mother's Day gift or Teacher's gift. You can't see it in the picture, but the Box #2 die is attached behind the flowers. Perfect place to "hide" a cello bag full of candy!

**Updated to add a photo of the box!**

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to check back tomorrow for Big Shot Box Project #2.

Beautiful Butterflies ~ Framed Art!

Hello Stampers and Happy Mother's Day!!

Yesterday Rocky and Blake went to Woodhull to help his parents so that left me home alone to stamp in peace and quiet!!!

Ever since the catalog came out in January I have been wanting to case the framed art shown on page 8 of the catalog and also shown below.

I have been looking everywhere for a shadow box and finally found one. . at a yard sale of all places! And since it was my mother-in-laws yard sale I didn't even have to pay for it. Even better. (Thanks Stacey!)

I used the Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper (remember it's buy 3 get 1 free this month only) and a little bit of Kiwi Kiss card stock to created my own version of the framed art. BTW - it is was very hard to photograph this since the flash wanted to reflect off of the glass. This project actually looks 100% better in person. . . if you'd like to stop by and see it for yourself, just give me a call.

On the bottom edge of the Kiwi Kiss I used my Eyelet Border Punch. I cut the butterflies out using my Big Shot and Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. I wanted to step it up a bit, so I got out my Pretties Kit and using a little Crystal Effects I added half beads on the butterflies.
The hat pin and full beads also came from the Pretties Kit. The ribbon is Very Vanilla/Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon and I used Mini Glue Dots to hold the hat pin and beads in place.

To finish my framed art project I added a rub-on from the package of Chateau Bella Rub-Ons.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you all have a Wonderful Mother's Day!

BTW - There is still room in my cards clubs that are scheduled to start NEXT WEEK! Sign up today!

A Card Club Testimonial

Before joining my first card club I was sure that I did not have the "talent" or creative ability to make my own cards. However, Georgia made it very simple each month to make 5 cards that were unique and something to be proud of. I have sent most of the cards I made in card club to family and friends and have received only positive comments on how "creative" I am and how beautiful the cards are. It's not even necessary to have the stamps, papers, etc. before joining. Each month I just added to my collection a bit at a time and used the ideas Georgia gave to branch out and create cards of my own design. It's great fun. I haven't used a store bought card since I started with Georgia a year and a half ago. Join and you will discover the creativity side of you that you didn't know existed!

Scallop Envelope Purse

Hi Stampers!

Today I would like to share with you a project we made at Tuesday's workshop. It was made using the Big Shot and the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die. It was very quick and easy to make. I got the idea from my up-up line Julie S. as she let us make one at the last StampAttic's meeting.

All you need to do is cut 2 scallop envelopes with your big shot. You cut the bottom flap to 1/2 inch and use sticky strip to put it all together. Of course we had to use some designer paper since it's buy 3 get 1 free this month. We finished by using the White Gel pen, Whisper White ribbon and brads. If you would like to make your own just give me a call . . I'd love to get together to stamp with you.

Also . . . remember to join a card club . TODAY!!! Stamping with friends is always better!

Have a GREAT Day!

Pretties Kit

Hi Stampers!

Have you ever tried to die the flowers that come in the Pretties Kit? I have and it's lots of fun. I would like to share three ways with you today.
  1. Markers - You can color directly onto your flowers with markers. This is the non messy way.

  2. Ink Pads - You can smash your flowers into your ink pads to transfer the color. However, doing this you might get your fingers a little colored too.

  3. Ink Refills - Using an empty container place a little water and some drops from the ink refill. Place the flower directly into the water/ink mixture and let it set for a little while. Then removed it and place in onto a paper towel to dry. I have a few photos below.

If you would like to try the pretties kit first hand, please consider joining on of my card clubs that start in 2 weeks. Space is limited, so please let me know if you're interested.... plus that way I can quit stressing about getting my card club full. :o) They meet on the 3rd Tuesday or 3rd Wednesday of the month.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!
