Big Shot - Lady Bug

Hello Stampers!

Today I want to share with you a lady bug I received in a 3D Big Shot Swap. In January I swapped 3D projects with 10 other demonstrators, and this is one of the projects I got back! It was made by Julia J. of the StampAttics!

Julia used the Scallop Circle Bigz die as well as Buttons #5 Sizzlits Die. She did a GREAT job and even added my name to the tag. Thanks for this wonderful idea Julia!

Have I told you how much I LOVE my Big Shot??? It's awesome. I love how it will cut through 50 types of materials, and I have used it more than I ever dreamed I would. Is the Big Shot on your wishlist? Would you like to get a FREE level 1 hostess stamp set, level 2 hostess stamp set or maybe $25 in free merchandise just for purchasing it? Call and/or e-mail me to learn more about this limited time offer!

Have a GREAT weekend, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Empty Build-a-Brad Tin

At one time or another you may find yourself using all of the build-a-brads and being left with an empty tin. Then you find yourself asking what do I do with it? It's to good to just throw out, but how can I make it pretty?

It's very easy to decorate a build-a-brad tin. All it takes is a little Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Ribbon and you're done. In the photos below you will see I used both the Designer Series Paper and Ribbon from the Sale-a-bration book, so it didn't cost anything to decorate this tin!

Yes, even the heart is designer paper. I just cut out an image from one of the sheets and adhered it with a stampin' dimensional.

I also want to mention that I used my corner rounder to round the DSP on the inside. The DSP also has a little snail adhesive on the back to keep it in place. You can make many of these in a matter of just minutes! If you have any questions, please ask!

Thanks for stopping by!

Diaper Fold Pouch

Hello Stampers!

Last night was the last club meeting for my Woodhull Hostess Club! I hope you ladies had as much fun as I did these past 6 months. I look forward to stamping with many of you in our Alpha club, while I will miss the others that were unable to join this new group. I'd like to thank all of the ladies who participated, and I hope you had fun making 3D projects each month!

Today I'd like to share with everyone one of the quick and easy 3D projects we made last night. We made a Diaper Fold Pouch. When looking for ideas for the club I came across this idea on Splitcoaststampers.com.

To create this project at home you'll need 1 piece of double sided paper (square) and a bone folder. Below I used a 6x6 sheet of paper which came from the level 1 hostess only paper set.

Step 1: Fold paper in half diagonally.

Step 2: Take one of the lower corners of your triangle and fold it over to the middle of the other triangle side.

Step 3: Take the other lower corner of the triangle and fold it over to the middle of the opposite side.

Step 4: Take one layer of your top corner and fold it down to create your pouch.

Step 5: Decorate and fill your pouch.

I used a flower from the Pretties Kit and a Rhinestone brad!

Variations: Change the filling; add little note cards instead of candy.
Make it an envelope for an invitation.
Change the size; Make it smaller to add it to a card front.
Make it big to hold a lot of goodies.

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope to stamp with you real soon!

Workshop WOW DVD ~ Altered Envelope

A week or so ago I had a few of my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators over to watch the Workshop WOW DVD that my upline Kathy V. gave to me. Kathy purchased the DVD at convention and gave it to me . . thanks Kathy! I'm blessed to have such a giving upline!!!

One of the items that was shown on the DVD was a cute way to alter an envelope, so that's the project I have to share with you today.

First you need to seal your envelope. Then using your tag punch you simply punch about 1 1/4 times down the edge of the envelope. Flip it over and do it again on the other side. . . clear as mud? Scroll down for the photo and it should be a bit clearer.

This makes a perfect pouch to stick a treat in. PLEASE NOTE - if your treat is larger than the opening you'll want to seal the envelope LAST. So after you decorate the envelope stick your treat inside and seal it shut.

I used the SALE-a-Bration stamp set called YUMMY, and the designer series paper is a level 1 hostess ONLY item.

Remember Sale-a-bration runs until March 31st. If you would like to be a Sale-a-bration hostess please call and/or e-mail me! It's a great way to get all of the items shown above for FREE! These would be perfect treats to pass out at work, send to school or give to your neighbors.

I hope to hear from you soon!

30 B-Day Cards

Hello Stampers and Happy Tuesday!

Today I have decided to just share a couple of the 30 birthday cards you will be making at my March 21st make and take class. See the post below for all of the details. I hope you'll be able to make it!

I'm happy to report that I finished all 30 cards without stamping!!! This is something new I wanted to try, since at the x-mas card stamp-a-stack there was a couple of times the stamping table got congested. This time around you'll be able to stamp everything from the comfort of your own little table. Get Excited!!!

Of course, I plan on having the matching stamp set as well as a birthday stamp set out so you can stamp your envelopes to match.

I would really like to stress that I made this card simple, so you can complete 30 cards with ease. Please feel free to add embellishments to them as you assemble them. If you would like to order any embellishments when you register for this class I can help pick them out. The first embellishment I would suggest is a package of silver brads. A couple of brads on a card can really step it up! Take the card below for example. I would add a brad in each of the flowers a the bottom right side. What would you do?

To the card below I would add a bit of crystal effects and dazzling diamonds to the candles. . in fact I would add crystal effects and dazzling diamonds to all of the candles. . . if you scroll down to yesterday's post about this class you can see what I'm talking about.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these card samples, and I really hope you are able to join me for this class. Remember I am also offering this class via mail if you interested. . . local gals there is not charge for postage if you'd like to pick it up. :o)

Have a GREAT day!

Box

Hi Stampers!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was way to short if you ask me. I had originally planed to show you a few of the cards I made for the birthday card stamp-a-stack, but after making a new box yesterday I just couldn't wait to share. I will plan on showing you some b-day cards tomorrow. . . Thanks!

I got a box tutorial from my friend Krista, who lives in The Netherlands, last week and I just couldn't wait to try it and to show you!

Krista send me the directions on how to make a cute box and I just knew I wanted to make one using the designer paper from the Sale-a-Bration brochure! I also used Tangerine Tango Card Stock and ribbon.

Here is a side view of the box. You can see I used my Scallop Edge punch along the bottom edge of the lid. I also used sticky strip to hold the plastic for the lid in place.

Are you wondering what I put inside the box? Some of you may remember the post-it note holders I made for my holiday craft shows. This box is the perfect size for one, so that's what I decided to put inside.

Of course I wanted it to match the box, so I used the same designer paper I used for the lid and attached it to a 4" coaster. The heart was just cut out from the designer paper pack and attached with a stampin' dimensional. I also tied some So Saffron 5/8" ribbon, which I got for FREE because of Sale-a-Brations, around the coaster. I used my bind-it-all to punch the holes and put in the binding.

Here's an inside view, so you can see where the post-it notes actually go.

So what do you think of the project today??? It was very fast and easy to make.

Thanks for Stopping By!

Sale-a-Bration Scrapbook Page

Hi Stampers!

Yesterday I had a chance to do a quick scrapbook page and I want to share that with you today! I used 3 Sale-a-bration products. I just love getting and using FREE stuff . . . don't you? I decided to scrap a 12x12 page and I chose So Saffron card stock to match the So Saffron Ribbon, which is part of the Sale-a-bration ribbon bundle.

I also used the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, Delicate Dots, and the Sale-a-bration stamp set . . . Yummy.

Do you see that I used my Big Shot and Top Note die behind the picture of Blake? I had to have a picture of him eating something, because the stamp reads, "A little yummy for your tummy."

I wanted to keep this page very simple. You could move the photo to allow room for more, and also add a title and a journal box.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to check back tomorrow. I finished all 30 of the Birthday Cards we're making in Monmouth on Saturday, March 21st. Remember the deadline to register for this class is 3/6. Click HERE for all of the details!

On Your Birthday

Good Morning Stampers!

I double checked the posting of today's post, so it's up on time. Sorry about yesterday. That's what I get for staying up late. :o)

Anyway. . . . Have I told you how excited I am to post on my blog everyday? I really am. I enjoy sharing what I love and I enjoy hearing your comments. . . so if you have time when you stop by today, please leave me a comment. . . THANKS!

Today's sample is a Georgia Original. . . yes I came up with this idea all on my own. . . . wanna see??? GREAT!!!

When I sat down to stamp a card on my lunch break yesterday I just knew I wanted to use 2 things. This first thing with the FREE Sale-a-Bration ribbon I got and the second was the FREE Sale-a-Bration designer series paper I got. YES Demos can earn free Sale-a-Bration products too!!

The Designer Paper is Called Delicate Dots and the ribbon comes in a bundle of two and the color used here is So Saffron. The bundle also has Certainly Celery. I love the 5/8" ribbon, and I'm thrilled that I got 20 yard of ribbon for FREE!!!

By looking in the Sale-a-Bration catalog I found that the colors in the designer paper was: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Sarah Sand. . . . so I decided to use Bashful Blue Card Stock for the base of my card. After folding it in half I used my Scallop Edge Punch along the bottom edge of the card stock. My new Eyelet Punch should be here any day and I can't wait to try in in place of the Scallop Edge Punch.

Keeping with the color theme I used Bashful Blue in and the Stamp Set On Your Birthday to stamp Live, Laugh & Love Happy Birthday. I also got out a Bashful Blue maker and used it to color a flower from the Pretties Kit. Using Crystal Effects I adhered a half pearl, also from the Pretties Kit, to the flower and the flower to the card. I finished the card by putting a piece of designer paper under the scallop edge and tying ribbon around the card.

Quick and Easy . . that's the way I like to stamp.

Don't forget TODAY is the final day to register for Sunday's make and take class. Time is 2-4pm at my house in Galesburg. Cost is $8. I hope to hear from you soon!

**SU Announcement**

Get Excited!!

Stampin’ Up! announced last night that they will be reverting back to ONE catalog per year starting with the July 2009 issue! I am so excited, because I never have enough time to purchase everything I want out of the catalog by the time the next catalog is ready to roll out. Now I have more time. . . Thank You SU!

There will also be three MINI catalogs a year and two Decor Element brochures. The mini catalogs will also have new hostess sets in them as well.

Get Excited!!

Happy O' Birthday

Sorry about the late post today . . I just went on to check out my blog, as I often do, and realized my new post was not here. . . when I put in the posting date I put 12/19/09 instead of 2/19/09. . . talk about a late night and a tired stamper!
Sorry :o)
Georgia

Hello Stampers!

I'm very excited to tell you that after all of the card club ladies left my house, and Blake went to sleep, I actually got to sit down and make a card last night. I have been so busy working as well as doing my dad's taxes that I have not had much time to sit down and stamp for myself. So. . . even though it's 11:35 PM as I sit down to type this blog the fun of stamping is worth it!

I received "punch fun" card sample via a yahoo group I belong to on Wednesday afternoon. Glenda Mollet had made a very cute card for St. Patrick's Day that I new I just had to CASE her idea. Remember this past Halloween when I used the Big Shot and Top Note Die to make a witch and a frankie? Well guess what! Glenda made a leprechaun! Yes a cute little leprechaun face! As soon as I saw it I just knew I had to try it and I'm even more excited that I got to make one the same day I saw her sample.

So are you ready to see my little leprechaun?

I'm thinking about having this as one of my make and take cards for Sunday afternoon. . . what do you think? Remember you have until 5pm tomorrow (Friday) to register for my make and take class, which runs from 2-4pm at my home in Galesburg. Cost is $10 or just $8 if you are a club member. We will be making 8 cards. I hope you can make it!

OK . . . .enough stalling. . . here's my little leprechaun!

Supplies:

  • Big Shot with Standard Cutting Pads
  • Top Note Bigz Die
  • Holiday Blitz Stamp Set
  • On Your Birthday Stamp Set
  • Pewter Build a Brad
  • 1/2" Circle Punch
  • 3/4" Circle Punch
  • Round Tab Punch
  • White Gel Pen
  • Stampin' Dimensional
  • Kraft Card Stock
  • Blush Blossom Card Stock
  • Really Rust Card Stock
  • Glorious Green Card Stock and Ink
  • Basic Black Card Stock and Ink
  • Whisper White Card Stock

The Glorious Green, Really Rust and Blush Blossom card stock was all ran though the Big Shot using the Top Note Die. Then I cut the Really Rust card stock by hand to create a beard.

As you can see I used the 3 leaf clover from the Holiday Blitz Stamp set and stamped in Glorious Green Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. I then used my 1/2" circle punch to get the circle to apply to the Build a Brad.

I'm sure you can guess that I used the 1/2" Circle Punch for the eyes and the 3/4" Circle Punch for the nose, but can you guess what punch the mouth was made from? It's the Round Tab Punch and here's how.

First I punched a small piece away using the tip of the punch. In the pictures below I used Whisper White card stock for easy viewing.

Then that first piece I punched out was thrown away. . OK it's still on my desk but I plan to throw it away. . or at least push it onto the floor and get it with the vacuum at a later date. :o)

Next I took the round tab punch and went in a bit farther. This is the piece I kept an applied to my project as the mouth. See when you think "outside the box" the punches are more than what meets the eye.

To finish up the card I adhered it to Kraft card stock and stamped Happy O' Birthday from the On Your Birthday stamp set. Although the card would look great without a sentiment on the front I thought the O' just sounded Irish so I had to add it.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today, and make sure you leave me a comment or send me an e-mail if you think this would be a fun make and take card to do on Sunday.

I hope to hear from you soon!

This card was done using the Just Buzzin' By stamp set. Do you like how I used my White Gel pen to put a dot in each of the scallops I made using the Scallop Edge Punch.

Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die ~ Big Shot

Hello Stampers!

I am so excited today to show you a card I made using the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and my Big Shot! I got the idea for the card from Patty Bennent's blog. Patty has wonderful ideas and I enjoy checking out her blog often.

I started this card by folding a piece of the Delicate Dots Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper(114674 ~ FREE with $50 purchase) in half and lining it up on the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die.

After running the die through my Big Shot I had six butterflies to choose from! These butterflies are different sizes, which is great when you want to add some layers to a project! I used my So Saffron ink pad and a Stampin' Sponge to add some color to the designer paper. I also got out my pretties kit and attached 4 half pearls with crystal effects.
The scallop on the bottom of the designer paper was done using the Scallop Edge Punch and I tied a piece of the 5/8" So Saffron Ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration Ribbon Bundle (114618 ~ FREE with $50 purchase) around the card. If you wondering the Whisper White Card Stock that I used for the base of the card was cut at 4 1/4 x11" and folded in half.

To finish the card I used the Warm Words stamp set and stamped Happiness in So Saffron ink. This is another card that would look fabulous in any color! I think the next time I try it I'll use Regal Rose! What color would you try?

If you are interested in getting the designer paper or ribbon that I showed you today, remember that Sale-a-bration only runs until March 31st! I do have a few dates open in March if you'd like to host a workshop. . . if a workshop is out of the question, please send me an e-mail (georgia@mustainlaw.com) to see how you can receive either hostess benefits or $25 in free merchandise with ONLY $100 in orders. All it takes is 4 order of $25 it's that easy! Or you can get 2 orders of $50 each or any combination of orders to reach $100 it doesn't matter how you get there as long as you have $100 in orders. I often find myself spending $100 all on my own. :o) Space is limited, so if you're interested, please let me know ASAP!

Have a GREAT day!

Sale-a-Bration Set: Yummy

Hello Stampers!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We spent our weekend in St. Louis at the Boat Show and shopping. Our first stop was the Bass Pro Shop! My husband loves the outdoors and loves to fish. At the store they had this cute back drop set up and I just had to take Rocky and Blake's photo. My husband is such a good sport about getting his photo taken, but I still think he could have given me a better simile! :o)

Sunday we decided to do a bit more shopping and found ourselves at Union Station. I had no idea that they turned the old train station into a mall. It was a very cute little mall, which also had a photo opp. Below is a picture of Blake with our friend Tony. Tony and his fiancee Emily also went to St. Louis for the weekend to the boat show.
Thanks for reading about my weekend. . I had so much fun and I want to share it with you!

**Sample Time**
I am so excited about the sample today. . . this was a gift I made for a good friend, who happened to host a Stampin' Up! workshop this past Friday night.

This is a paint can covered with the new Raspberry Tart Designer Paper. To keep the designer paper in place I used Sticky Strip. The ribbon is Kiwi Kiss Stripped Ribbon and was just tied around the paint can. I used my new circle cutter to cut out a circle for the top of the can and used the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, YUMMY, to describe what she would find inside.

Candy of course!

Well today's post is short and sweet, because I'm tired and need to go to bed! Thanks for stopping by today, and if you have any questions, please ask!

I hope you get to Stamp Today!

Sweet Bella - Part 2

Happy Valentine's Day Stampers!

I hope your sweetheart has something special planned for you today! Our family is spending the weekend in St. Louis at the Holiday Inn. Rocky wanted to go to the boat show. . . I'd rather be home stamping, but it guess I need to make a little more time for the guys in my life!

Today I am wrapping up my Style Watch. If you missed any days, make sure to scroll down all of the way to Monday! I hope you have enjoyed seeing lots of samples each day. While I didn't create any of the samples myself I truly feel blessed to have demonstrators in my life who take pictures and share them with me! Thanks Ladies!

One thing I noticed was that I didn't share any Scrapbook pages with you. Sorry about that! To make up for it I'm starting today's post with two scrapbook pages that. We will be getting into wedding season soon, so they are perfect!

Both pages used the stamp set Ever After (113401 $22.95). I love the scallop edges on the page above and the use of the Pretties Kit on page below.

Have you ever thought about giving a scrapbook as a gift? It would be a wonderful gift that would be cherished for years to come. I have not done this yet, but I have one in the works. . . OK I have the album and scrapbook kit sitting on my desk and I just know I need to get to it soon.

Do you what to know who is getting my first scrapbook gift ?? Well that's a secret, but when I get the album done I'll show you pictures AFTER I give it away. . . I would hate to ruin the surprise. :o)
OK . . . back to samples!

The first card I would like to share with you today also uses the stamp set Ever After. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the Baja Breeze card stock is textured! Did you know you can get any color family in textured paper? The come in a pack of 24 for $11.95 and they are 12x12 sheets.

This next card uses one of my favorite big shot dies. . . Scallop Circle! Have I told you yet this week how much I LOVE my Big Shot? It's awesome. . if you haven't had a chance to try it at one of my events, please call and you can come over. . . or call and book a workshop and I'll bring it to your house. . . . OK back to the sample. . . the Always is a rub on from the Chateau Bella Rub-Ons (111416 $10.95).

This next card is a bit unusual. . isn't it neat??? I can't wait to make my own version of this card. On Tuesday I just ordered my own Eyelet Border Punch. . I just can't wait for it to come. Other accessories used below include: Fleurettes Accents & Elements, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Clip Assortment and the Pretties Kit.

The final sample of Style Watch Spring/Summer 2009 is a cute 3D Box. Again it used the stamp set Ever After. I'm LOVING IT. . . how about you?
Thanks for stopping by today, and please leave me a comment to let me know if you or if you didn't like the post this week.

Have a GREAT day with your Sweetheart!!!!

Style Watch - Sweet Bella - Part 1

Happy Friday the 13th!

The final style watch in the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog is Sweet Bella!

The Sweet Bella Collection embodies all that is soft and sweet - from its elegant color scheme to its graceful floral images. With these products, you're sure to create chic and stylish keepsakes. Intricate pattern and subtle hues create the unforgettable Sweet Bella Style.

All of the samples today come from Leadership 2009. This first sample uses the stamp set Friends (113218 $25.95) and the Friendly Words Jumbo Wheel (114696 $8.50). I love how they just inked the You & Me Friends from the jumbo wheel to make a "tag" on the card. You can ink only the images you want by applying ink directly from your markers!

This next Sample uses the Fleurettes Accents & Elements (114019 $9.95). For the stem they used the Central Park stamp set and the pearl is from the pretties kit.

This next project is just too cute. . . Using the Ever After (113401 $22.95) stamp set and the Bella Birds Designer Series Paper (113981 $9.95) they created a cute keepsake.

Do you remember me showing you the bag in a box project before? Well here it is again using some new Bella Birds DSP and the Friends stamp set. If you need directions on how to make the bag in a box, please ask!
This next card also uses the stamp set Friends. . it's a popular set today. ;o)

Finally I want to show you a project using the Dreams Du Jour stamp set and Bella Rose DSP. I love the Riding Hood Red Stripped ribbon. . . don't you?

Thanks for stopping by today, and make sure to come back tomorrow for the final day of Style Watch!

Manhattan - Part 2

Hello Ladies!

Today is part 2 of the Manhattan Style Watch! I'd like to keep it short and sweet and jump right into the samples! Most of the samples came from Leadership!

This first card uses the stamp set Central Park (113732 $15.95). Does anyone else think of Friends and Central Perk when I say Central Park? Who knows. . . maybe it's just me. :o)

Now this next project is quite appropriate to be posted on my blog. G is for Georgia right? (Again it's a photo taken at Leadership, so probably not!) Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper was used to cover the note book. I think the Baja Breeze Double Stitched Ribbon was a very nice touch. Don't you?

The next sample is a cute little gift bag. I love how you can stamp the images from the Fifth Avenue Floral (113734 $24.95) stamp set and not have to color them in. They look FABULOUS as is!

Now that I just typed that the images from the Fifth Avenue Floral set look Fabulous not colored in I am showning you a card where they are colored in. . . go figure! Another wonderful thing about this stamp set. . . color them or not. It's your choice!

The last sample I'm showing you today comes from Julia's demonstrating at the Bash! LOOK at the rectangle on the card. Julia used one of the Canvas Cuts Accents and Elements (113979 $7.95 page 177) and applied a rub-on from the Fashion District Rub-Ons (113884 $10.95).

Thanks for blogging with me today, and make sure to come back tomorrow for the next Style Watch!
