Style Watch - Manhattan - Part 1

Next up on the Style Watch is Manhattan!

Sophisticated and subtle, our Manhattan collection represents timeless elegance. This fashionable style combines clean lines, smooth contours, and classic textures. A neutral palette softened by pale swathes of colors embodies the modern and urban Manhattan Style.

Samples anyone??? Well your in luck. As I mention on Monday a few demo friends went to Florida to Leadership in January and they were kind enough to share photos with me. Thanks Ladies!

Most of the samples I am showing you today use the stamp set: Fifth Avenue Floral (113734 $24.95). After seeing Julia's demonstration at the New Catalog Bash this stamp set is on the top of my wish list!

I love how they took a White Gel pen and put dots between each scallop. BTW the stamper used the Circle Scallop Die and the big shot on this card!

Can you see all of the holes along ribbon and in the two top corners? They used the paper piercer and guide from the crafter's tool kit.

This next photo was taken at the New Catalog Bash. Julia made the cutest box using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set!

Don't you just love this check book cover? The paper piercer and mat from the crafter's tool kit was used again to make holes, and I just love the 5/8" Regal Rose Ribbon! BTW - you can find the Shopping make everything better in the Fashion District Rub-Ons (113884 $10.95).

Now this next project is just too cute! When stamping on fabric it's important to use your craft pads, and to stamp over the image more than once. I recommend using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position your stamps!

Just what? This stamp set uses a different stamp set! It uses the Central Park (113732 $15.95) and Thank You Kindly (111700 $13.95) stamp sets. If you look close you can see that Julia stamped on the Chocolate Chip card stock too. Thanks Julia for sharing this card at the New Catalog Bash!

Now this last project is another project done by Julia at the bash. Julia used the catalog for inspiration when she create this project! If you have a catalog check out page 8! If you don't have your own catalog, remember you can get one for free when you place an order online at http://www.georgiacaulkins.stampinup.net/!

Julie made a few changes when she cased this project. She added 1/2 pearl from the prettiest kit to and some elegance and changed rub ons as well as adding her own touch to the designer paper. BTW - she did not cut out the butterflies by hand. Stampin' Up! has a new die for the Big Shot called, "Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die" (114507 $21.95). After seeing Julie "work" her magic with the butterflies that die was on my next order.

Make sure to check back tomorrow for part 2 of Manhattan, which means more samples!!! Get Excited Stampers!
