With every catalog there are stamps sets that do not retire, yet they are not in the current catalog. When that happens they are move to the dorman list! The Dormant List contains stamp sets that, while they have not been retired, are not listed in the current catalog. These sets are available for purchase during the listed timeframe and may or may not be listed again in future catalogs. YES!
Will these stamp sets appear in the next publication?
Maybe. We never know what is going to be moved back into the next catalog, what will stay on the dormant list and what stamp sets will move to the retired list until it is announced.
Why have a dormant list?
Stampin' Up! has a dormant list to allow stamp sets, which are not in "season" to still be ordered and at the same time frees up space in the current catalog for new stamps! For example. You won't find many Christmas stamp sets in the current catalog as you will in the Fall/Winter catalog. This is simply because the demand for those stamps is not there. SU moves stamps to the dormant list so you can still purchase them should you choose, so yes you can have Christmas in July! :o)
